Property could do with uplift and embracing more digitisation. It’s very old and requires some major renovation. Staff are very nice and polite. For example, security deposit could be charged to a credit card instead of cash. The wifi is also very slow and unstable. To be very frank, I would rather book elsewhere with a smaller room, but with better wifi.

Hotel is old but renovated rooms are available. Its clean and big. Location is good for dining, massages and hair salons. Decent breakfast with accommodating staff. Room were value for money paid. The only issue i faced was toilet bowl in my room had water ponding. After flushing the water does not goes back to the neck of the toilet bowl.

Opted for newly renovated room whichnI did get assigned. But room is really just another of those small budget hotels you find all over JB. Price totally does not justify. Breakfast is not bad.

Repeat collection of tourists fee
My deluxe room was big,clean and comfortable but when i check in,i was told to pay a $10 rm for tourist fee per room,and when i checking out,the counter staff ask me pay $10 rm again,say that they got no record for my payment, luckily i kept the receipt to prove.. pls take note..

Front desk lady was so Cheerful, Friendly and Helpful during our check-in. The room we booked was different from webpage, was old and run down. Only bed and pillows are comfortable. others in-room stuffs are om to use. TV was satellite so not smooth at all and not much programs too. wifi also up and down during our 2 nights stay. very nearby walking distance to KSL shopping mall.

Weekend getaway
The room, front counter service is good. But the morning breakfast buffet for Sunday is below my expectation especially the Loti Canai and Egg Counter by a Fat Malay guy. The person (guy) is not able to manage and unable to cook any egg except for Canai. When the lady cook is there, even when busy she is still able to serve fried eggs. For the guy, he directs all customers to get scrambled eggs.

Booked 3 night stay for the newly renovated room. The room is ok, the aircon does not work well as its not cold when it reaches the middle of the night. The toilet's condition is ok. All their rooms does not have a safe. So do not bring your valuables for your trip if you really planning to leave them in the room. The noise insulation of this hotel is very very bad as you can hear the vehicles driving pass at night. We had a hard time sleeping throughout our entire stay there. We paid approx 60+ sgd per night for our stay here. I really would not recommend staying here for the price you are paying for... Just top up a bit more and stay in better hotels.

Booked this 1 night stay for 5 aug as a last min plan because we decided to go in to jb a day earlier but they did not have the same room type as our initial booking for 6 to 9 aug, which was the newly renovated room because they were fully booked. We just accepted and thought it shouldnt be that bad and was given an older room on level 12. The room is super run down, the aircon does not work well, we would wake up in the middle of the night in sweat. The toilet's condition is very bad as well. There was mold at the sink and bath tub area. The showerhead cannot be removed fyi. The noise insulation of this hotel is also very bad as you can hear the vehicles driving pass at night. We had a hard time sleeping throughout our entire stay there. We paid approx 60+ sgd per night for our stay here. I really would not recommend staying here for the price you are paying for... Just top up a bit more and stay in better hotels.

Conveniently located about 5 minutes walk away from KSL, breakfast buffet was great. Air conditioner seems faulty, the room was only cooling after the entire night of lowest temperature with highest fan speed setting. Shower head was also faulty, overall hotel and room condition is rather old and run down. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly, gave us an extra bed cos we had 3 pax but booked a room with two twin beds. Should consider removing the small mirror facing the bed and have a full length mirror near the door instead, seems creepy to have a mirror looking at the ceiling when you’re lying down.

Newly renovated? More like poorly renovated. Seems like they don't fix things that matter, like the shower, bidet and the toilet door. And the dust under the bed is since ancient. Maintenance housekeeping really not doing their job well.

Hotel check-in was slow as there were too many checking in at the same time, at 2 pm. The older man at the counter helped but was confused about how many nights I was staying. The room was nowhere like what I saw on the website; the room was spacious, kind of empty at the same time. They had renovated the rooms, but badly, the bathroom now has a sliding door on the outside of the original door frame and cannot be locked. The water pressure was adequate, not fantastic, and I had to wait 5 to 10 minutes to get hot water, wasting water while it was flowing. The room had no slippers, and the wooden floors were not cleaned, so I had to get a pair of slippers outside. The hotel shops, spas, and all facilities except for the pool are closed, so nothing apart from the room there. The nearest food area by foot is the food store, about 8 minute's walk to KSL Mall. The surrounding areas are all shuttered also. Next time will try New York Hotel or KSL Resort Hotel if staying in JB. They have food stores outside or a mall nearby for supplies. Lastly, if you stay at this hotel, bring your amenities like shampoo and toothbrush as the ones given at the hotel are really not too good, and on day one, there was also no hand soap.

a day in crystal crown
1.room was nicely renovate with new interior however bathroom door has no lock & not secure. 2.Breakfast was really nice.Have to try their nasi lemak. 3.Walkway going to swimming pool was quite dark but the pool was nice. Have a great time with my daughter.
