"This is the most beautiful location I've ever seen. The view out our front door was breathtaking. Two Adirondack chairs in front of the unit made it the perfect spot to read a book or have a glass of wine. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The only issue is the lack of food options near the property. There are no restaurants or convenient stores to get drinks or snacks within 20 minutes...and be prepared to pay hefty prices for everything! Also no fridge. However, the Lodge makes that clear in its description of the amenities. And the location and view make it worth the inconvenience. We just bought a large water jug and non-perishable snacks in Carmel before the drive up the coast. We would definitely stay there again! "
Unique Off-Grid experience with Stunning Views Close to Wine Tasting
10/10 Excellent
"Great place in the woods. Perfect for a couple. Cozy with beautiful views and lovely animal to greet you. Great hikes nearby. It is to note that it is 20 minutes from town and the roads are going through the mountains and can be dark at night but wasn’t a problem. Good WiFi, Smart TV."
New! Soak in a Hot Tub at this Romantic Tree House Surrounded by Trees
6/10 Okay
"The road to get here is really winding so I suggest going during daylight hours. Once we arrived, We found the parking but couldn't figure out where the place was. So we walked straight ahead of where we parked and found it. Uneven stairs to get to front door. Once we were inside it was very nice. It's only peaceful if there isn't any family's with kids in the above house, so I suggest asking first. The view from the deck is a lot of trees so you can't see much. Also bring all your food , no freezer in small refrigerator. It could use better kitchen utensils to cook. Really nice furnishings and ac or heat as well. "
"The Vineyard Chateau is a beautiful and spacious home with wonderful amenities. My wife and I enjoyed cooking breakfast in the well stocked kitchen before heading out on our sightseeing adventures. The salt water pool was already warm enough (late March) to swim and the outdoor pool bar area kept us from needing to run inside for a cool drink. The beautiful on-site vineyard is a picturesque backdrop right outside the backyard. There is both a smoker and a charcoal grill on-site. We did not use them, but there are also a lot of additional amenities for younger guests, such as two tree houses and a giant trampoline. We really enjoyed the small town nearest to the property (Carmel Valley). We spent most of our time in hiking n Big Sur and sightseeing Monterey. The Vineyard Chateau was perfectly situated for our needs. 10/10 experience and highly recommended. Great amenities, well stocked home and beautiful views. "
"The hot tub jets were not working..the deck was wonderful! The home was comfy and clean and had everything we needed! The check in was a bit confusing due to me not reading the original message in its entirety from the point of booking and the owner not realizing that the door code was sent out in that first message"
