"We came to Zen and Pine Resort to hike Mt. Yushan. Although that wasn’t possible due to road closure, on the manager’s advice, we instead visited nearby Sun Moon Lake and hiked Mt. Shuishe, which was amazing and rescued our whole trip. I can’t say enough good things about the management of this property. "Hotel quality rooms and accommodation but feels like staying in someone's home. Homey breakfast, family run atmosphere, and a great personalized sunrise bike tour. Highly recommend! But may not be for travelers who don't like being constricted by rules (no eating in rooms, quiet hours, etc) but you are basically staying in someone's house so be respectful."

"Location is ideal being one with nature. We rented a car so locating the property wasn’t hard. Average hotel. Our room can fit 5 futons. Bathroom size is spacious though the amenities, overall is average. We enjoyed our one night stay. Breakfast is sufficient. "
