"What a lovely experience. Fairway Guesthouse was sublimely superb. As a location with an absolutely stunning view of the golf course overlooking the sea and Durban cityscapes, as well as the absolutely wonderful friendly service, that simply made us feel home away from home. The continental breakfasts were yummy and different - croissants with scrambled eggs and bacon and we even got home made flapjacks!!! Our suites were so luxurious and well appointed, with secure garden parking that our...
"We had a lovely couple of nights stay. It’s a great location for visiting Umhlanga, everyone was lovely and the accommodation was extremely comfortable with a lovely lounge at the top of the property, with a great view of the sea. Highly recommend and will stay again when next visiting"
"Gem of a place, right in the heart of Umhlanga. Easily walkable to restaurants etc, and very safe, even at night. Super comfortable rooms, and lovely owners. Highly recommended!"
"Stay was good. Shower 🚿 head needs some attention. Leaking. Mattress needs to be changed slowly caving in in the centre. Sleeper couch mattress is horrendous. Sleeper couch was grubby. Needs a good clean. Overall the place was spotlessly clean. Came across 1 cockroach. Pool was good.
Cleaning staff and security are very pleasant. Front desk not sufficiently manned. "
"An absolutely charming place with charming hosts. Traveling as a single woman it was very safe and convenient. Coming and going is hassle-free.
The internet and televison reception are excellent. Water in the shower nice and hot and the bed big and comfortable.
Couldn't ask for more."

"This place was amazing. Clean, beautiful views, quiet area, large rooms. Staff were helpful and friendly and stay out of your way so you can do whatever you want to. The only issue is that the parking can be a bit difficult to manage with a large vehicle."
"Back for a second year. The property is a beautiful house in North Durban, near a small shopping area. My bedroom was very large and well-appointed, with a large bathroom attached. This year, things are not quite as new and well-maintained as last year.
I enjoyed meeting other Comrades runners staying at the house, this year including elites.
The best thing about this house is the housekeeper Nklaka, who is unbelievably friendly, caring and efficient."
"A small, intimate and immaculate establishment - like your own little villa! Not only was the breakfast (hot and cold) awesome, but it was the extra little touches that made an impression. For example: Although there was no restaurant for lunch & dinner, picnic tables, a microwave, plates, utensils and condiments were provided for guests' "bring-their-own-meal" use, little cookies daily with the in-room tea/coffee facilities, an honesty bar area, with an ice-maker, I could go on! The guest safety priority was high, the building and garden was maintained to a high standard and the people were amazing, from the owner, to the manager, to the rest of the staff - who all went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. My sister and I felt like family when we (finally) left. Highly recommended should you ever need to stay in Durban North.
Thank you Banu, Nick and all the staff for our wonderful stay!"
