"A small, intimate and immaculate establishment - like your own little villa! Not only was the breakfast (hot and cold) awesome, but it was the extra little touches that made an impression. For example: Although there was no restaurant for lunch & dinner, picnic tables, a microwave, plates, utensils and condiments were provided for guests' "bring-their-own-meal" use, little cookies daily with the in-room tea/coffee facilities, an honesty bar area, with an ice-maker, I could go on! "The hotel was nice needed a little refurbishment. The staff made up for it been attentive and helpful.
Was worth the money, security was good around the building. One young man lindo in particular very helpful.
View of the harbour from my bedroom was amazing I was on the 18th flood of 23.
Pool is on rooftop alongside the spa facilities very safe. "

"Requested room with separate room, given room with shower in bath.
Water covering floor due to leaking fridge, which had a foot pad missing.
Water in bathroom was luke warm when on maximum heat."

"What a lovely experience. Fairway Guesthouse was sublimely superb. As a location with an absolutely stunning view of the golf course overlooking the sea and Durban cityscapes, as well as the absolutely wonderful friendly service, that simply made us feel home away from home. The continental breakfasts were yummy and different - croissants with scrambled eggs and bacon and we even got home made flapjacks!!! Our suites were so luxurious and well appointed, with secure garden parking that our...

"Nice old converted house. Good neighbourhood. Check in staff not available when I arrived despite being at a time they were meant to be there. Found a security guard who suggested I call the duty manager who was not on site - security guard let me in to room. Left after a few days while only ever having seen the security guard and occasionally someone on reception, who was not particularly helpful."

"This place was amazing. Clean, beautiful views, quiet area, large rooms. Staff were helpful and friendly and stay out of your way so you can do whatever you want to. The only issue is that the parking can be a bit difficult to manage with a large vehicle."
"Back for a second year. The property is a beautiful house in North Durban, near a small shopping area. My bedroom was very large and well-appointed, with a large bathroom attached. This year, things are not quite as new and well-maintained as last year.
I enjoyed meeting other Comrades runners staying at the house, this year including elites.
The best thing about this house is the housekeeper Nklaka, who is unbelievably friendly, caring and efficient."

The guest safety priority was high, the building and garden was maintained to a high standard and the people were amazing, from the owner, to the manager, to the rest of the staff - who all went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. My sister and I felt like family when we (finally) left. Highly recommended should you ever need to stay in Durban North.
Thank you Banu, Nick and all the staff for our wonderful stay!"
