An amazing property in a great location. Completely unobstructed views of the ocean. Make sure you wake up early and catch the sunrise, absolutely beautiful. The house is well stocked with everything you need for beach days including beach towels, chairs, floats, boards and sand toys for the kids. The hot tub came in clutch with the kids as they spent every evening in it. The house also has a lot of spices for cooking, pots, pans, skillets and several appliances. All of the furniture was in great condition and the beds were spacious and comfortable. Something to note is that you enter the home on the floor that has all of the bedrooms apart from the master which is located upstars with the kitchen and living room, so if someone in your group has mobility issues, this would be difficult as the main living areas are upstairs. We didnt have an issue but just something to think about. I would 100% stay here again!

A Charming Experience

Great Family Stay

The property was very clean and location couldn't have been better. Communication leading up to and during the stay was excellent. The kids played on the beach all day and loved the outdoor shower and toys provided. The adults loved the multiple decks, hot tub, comfy beds and easy access to the beautiful beach. Comfortable Winter Getaway

Our family of 6 enjoyed felt welcomed into this home away from home. The beds were comfortable, the closeness to the beach couldn't be beat, and the house was very clean. We settled in for a week of dolphin watching, chilly beach walks, and lots of family dinners and games while gathered around the table. We enjoyed thrifting in Wilmington, touring the Battleship, and Flaming Amy's Burrito Barn. The hot tub was enjoyed most evenings and the decks and furniture were appreciated--we would happily recommend this home to future guests.

We had a wonderful stay. I loved the location of the property. It was private but also close to restaurants and shops. The house came with all the beach gear we needed. My husband and nephews enjoyed surfing every day. ( We brought our surfboards). We enjoyed the wonderful decks.

Wonderful property

We had an awesome stay. The property was ideally located and the communication was flawless. Very well appointed for home cooking if that's important to others and made it really easy with our 5 and 7 year old. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn't operational during our trip, but they had a tech there within an hour to try to get it running (bad part that had to be ordered). Highly recommend to others and I am sure we will be back.

Perfect place to get your beach therapy!

Just bring yourself, your food and your swimsuit because Charm Getaway supplies everything else you might need. This property is nicely furnished and very well maintained and the ocean views are amazing. If you’re lucky with the weather, like we were, you can catch the most amazing sunrises and spend your days collecting shells and sharks teeth along the shores of an almost private beach. Katrina, the owner, was quickly responsive to any questions I had before and after our stay and Christine, the local manager, was equally responsive and provided me with all the info needed for access to the home when we arrived. It’s a 5 star recommendation from my family. Would definitely come again!

I wasn’t sure what to expect since I am from the Pacific Northwest & have a beach house on the Pacific Ocean, but to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. House is amazing, great for families. Excellent location to the beach & Surf City. Great communication from owner & property manager. Outstanding Beach House!

This is our third time renting this charming beach house. The house is perfect! Incredible ocean views with a commute to the water in less than 30 seconds. We stayed with 2 families (4 adults and 5 children) and the size was perfect! You definitely get what you pay for. Christine is the best manager and will take care of anything you need. She was even willing to give us a late check out to have more time at the beach.

We had an extended stay at this wonderful oceanfront home and it was awesome! The home had everything you could need or want to make your stay feel just like you are at home but with the most amazing views! The amenities are the best. This home is in the perfect location, close to all things Surf City and only a short drive over the bridge to even more restaurants and stores. A highly recommend this home! The owners and property manager are wonderful and attentive to anything you need while at the property. Quick response and so friendly!

Excellent Retreat

2023 has been a tough year, but this VRBO was exactly what we needed. 4 bedrooms face the ocean with bunk beds in the 5th. We only had 4 of us, but our girls loved exploring the house and the beach. Sunrises are perfect, but evening brings the stars, including the milky way. The home could not have been more perfect for us. We hope to be back next year.

Doorstep To The Sea

Very clean. Nice amenities: you don't have to bring soap (for kitchen, bathrooms, or laundry), hair dryer or any towels. There are plenty of towels. This makes life easy.The beds are made so you can walk or nap right into your vacation. The hot water tank is big enough to accommodate five-bedrooms worth of people. That's a big plus. The sound of the surf lulled us to sleep at night (and afternoon naps). The hot tub is wonderful! The owner and housekeeping contact are very responsive. The living room looks much bigger in the photos than it actually is, so it can't really accommodate five-bedrooms worth of people. It would be nice to have a table on the deck for meals. The kitchen doesn't have a pantry, just a few cabinets for groceries. And while I admire that the owner invites us to leave unopened food for the next guests, I think it gives guests an excuse not to remove items that should be disposed of. The cabinets were literally full when we arrived; some of the items were open, some bottles almost empty, and most were items we would never use. Consequently, we had to spend our first hour there removing food (storing it in other rooms or disposing it), to make room for our groceries. This was also the case for refrigerated items. One way to make more room for groceries is to cull through and remove many of the multiple pots and pans that are stored underneath the counter tops (and remove the big ice machine that sits on the limited counter space).
