Location was fantastic, right in the heart of town. The rooms were clean. The restaurant downstairs had amazing prime rib, desserts and service. We stayed for Christmas festivities in town and will definitely return.

My husband and I try to come up to Sutter Creek three or four times a year and we will always check Hotel Sutter for a room before looking anywhere else. We love the old building, the friendly staff, the restaurant and the bar. Strolling the main street and visiting all the local shops.

Negative: I’m giving this property a three star rating for two reasons. The bed felt old and it had no back support. We had a very uncomfortable sleepless night. Morning, coffee, and muffins were distasteful. Positive : The location is spot on and the staff were friendly and professional.

Hotel Sutter has a great central location in the little town. Just keep your car parked and walk. The staff were welcoming, friendly and accommodating, especially Jessica.

I love Sutter Creek. Charming town with lots to explore. Hotel Sutter provides a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay a long the historic Highway 49 with an esteemed restaurant and bar on premises, the Sutter Theatre across the street and helpful staff that all contributed to the convenience and enjoyment of our mini vacation.

Charming and historic.

Surprisingly comfortable accommodations for a building built in 1858. Owners have done alot to make this little hotel something special in historic Sutter Creek, CA. Worth a look if you’re exploring the area. Super nice staff and unbeatable location.
