"This is a room in a shared apartment with 3 bedrooms. The bedroom door rattles loudly when opening and closing. The window is missing a curtain, making it impossible to sleep in the dark. The bed slats are too short and fall down at the slightest movement. Finally, the owner made us pay an additional fee for a 6th person even though we were 5. Avoid!"

"We drove down to Ljubljana from the UK in August 2024 while enroute to Croatia and opted to stay here for 2 days as it had free parking, wasn't far from the city centre and other attractions. Parking onsite can get competitive at times, but we would eventually find a space. "Nice, safe neighborhood. Fairly long, 30 minute walk into town so a little bit more challenging to access the tourist areas. Staff was very helpful and friendly although check-in was at a different location than our apartments. Easy parking. Good jumping off point for areas around Ljubljana (Lake Bled, Postojna, etc)."

"This property is located outside of the city center in a quiet neighborhood with a few local restaurants within walking distance. The Vila is within 2 blocks of a bus stop which makes travel to the city center very easy and you pay by card on the bus. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a small refreshment and dessert item. The Vila is a lovely set up with modern rooms and charming furniture. I was so pleased with my selection and highly recommend this location for a stay in Ljubljana!"

"Thank you to the employees at Hotel Slon for a memorable stay. Unfortunately this will be the last time we ever visit Slovenia again. It’s a very anti American country and our disrespectful to our country and our people. If you’re an American definitely skip Slovenia. The hotel we stayed at was good but the city and country are not. Never again. They will learn without Americans there would be no tourism in Europe. Never again and make sure you research countries before you go. The room rates at the hotel where reasonable and the location was perfect. "

"Great hotel! Walking distance to major sights. Stayed in a room with a lovely terrace and amazing views! Room was very clean and quiet, and bed was comfortable. "Overall, we had an excellent stay at the Grand Plaza Hotel. It's walkable to the major sites. The staff were all very helpful and allowed us a late check out and others an early check in if they could. The breakfast was amazing with so many choices and the staff was very on top of refilling things that were emptied. We had a beautiful room, with an amazing view of the city and the other room had a castle view. The two things to be aware of - 1. The A/C works but not as well as other hotels we visited on Slovenia and it was an unusually cool few days. I'm not sure what it would do in the heat of the summer. 2. The bathroom is beautiful but has a shower/tub combo with a deep tub that was quite slippery. That may be a problem for some. "
