Excellent hotel location and decent room

I stayed three nights at the hotel. The room was decent and comfy, friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent location only 3 min walk from Taksim Square. Very central with shops and restaurants at only walking distance. Close to main transportations. However I couldn’t sleep at all because the room was not soundproof and you could hear the noise from street cars, live music coming from nearby bars and restaurants as well as the drunk people. I will definitely recommend it to whoever is not bothered by the night noise!

The location is perfect. Easy check in and check out. Very clean and updated. I tried to reach the property beforehand to ask about the parking but no one answered the phone which was my only complaint.

Emirhan was the the nicest receptionist. I truly felt at home in this place. Whole staff made me feel truly helped me and my family with recommendations, things to do, coordinated things for us. definitely coming back soon.

Friendly host. Didn’t speak English but used translator app. Convenient location. Rooms were clean. For the price it’s a good deal. Only complaint is the cigarette smoke from other rooms was unbearable at night. I’ll stay again.

Location is great, close to everything required by a tourist. ASHKAN at reception is a very great young man. Super friendly and helpful. This is a budget hotel so don’t expect a luxury of high end hotel. Room was small but good enough for single person or a couple. It had AC and heater both. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Great value, very friendly, and well located

Stayed here with a group of 6 friends for a 5 day trip to Instanbul for a mix of culture and socialising. Apollo Hotel was perfect for our needs. It’s superbly well located near Taksim Sq & St so great for bars but also easy to get into the old town via public transport. The hotel itself is amazing value, and we were all very happy with our rooms. Staff were very helpful, especially Amir, and could not do enough to make our stay more pleasant & fun. Definitely recommended and will visit again.

Best hotel in Taksim.

The Appollo is in central location of Taksim, close to everything. The hotel is probably the best I have stayed in istanbul. It’s very clean and comfortable and easy access to many shops, Metro, restaurants and money exchanges. The view from from my room was awesome. The staff is extremely polite, kind helpful and respectful. The price is reasonable and overall the best hotel in Taksim.

It was an amazing trip from the hotel’s homely vibe to the lovely staff. The 3 men working in the front desk Ashkar, Ali, and Barsh. And do not forget the owner Mr Abederahim. The staff was extremely helpful in giving a hand to our family in lifting our luggages , making us feel welcomed with tea and coffee, and making sure we have our transportation to and from the airport. The room is spacious and pretty clean. If I could give one piece of advice it would be the lengthy staircase and the hotel has a total of 5 floors. But for an affordable, family-friendly, and refreshing experience I recommend this hotel. (I even recommend it to all my friends) .

The property was very dirty and the maintenance was horrible, my family and I were on the 3rd floor and ceiling on the stairs was leaking! Going down of the stairs was a nightmare, tiny stairs with leaks. They wouldn’t clean rooms, unless they were asked to do so. My overall experience was extremely poor at the Apolo hotel 😞

We had an amazing time, I highly recommend. The staff were incredible. Ashkhan was very helpful, kind and welcoming from day one becoming best friends with our daughter, helping us up the stairs, always answering our questions and he spoke English and did everything possible to make our stay amazing. The owner Abdulrahim made us feel like a part of the family, he treated our children as if they were his family and was so kind and helpful with everything we needed. Ashkhan and Abdulrahim arranged a day trip for us to see some lovely sights on a boat in the Europe and Asia part, and Ashkhan and the night staff arranged our hotel transfer back to the airport for our last day. We felt so at home we are sad to have left. The owners (abdulrahims) sister treated our daughter as if she were her own, meaning we were able to have a few moments as parents to breathe, relax and get ourselves sorted after a long day or drink some tea. Emma was so lovely, and I know my daughter will miss her a lot! Takism square is right outside your door, with the tram, metro, busses and boats so easy to get to. It was the perfect place to stay! We had the top room on the 5th floor, and despite no lift I honestly loved it. The balcony meant we could see so much of Istanbul, we had 2 pull out beds and a bed for us. A kitionette and a washing machine, and a bathroom with a lovely walk in shower that I’m sad to be leaving. I have never felt more at home than I did when staying at Apollo hotel.

False information- watch out

When we arrived at the hotel, the staff were attentive. Location was ideal, however, the following have overweight everything else: 1. They asked us to pay additional money as the tax was not included according to hotel staff which was not the case. We had no choice as it was late and we had two children therefore we paid. 2. Gave us a totally wrong room, much smaller, a double room instead of a suit for four people- went back when they said they made an error which they will correct the next day but the payment cannot be negotiated. 3. The room they provided was on 5th floor with no lift and a very narrow stairs. 4. The first night, had no water supply at all- not even to flash the toilet. They said it’s not their fault as the water pipe is damages. 5. Room had a gas cooker which was out of use. They said it does not work. 6. Had a washing machine- again out of use. 7. TV - did not work. The final day we booked a taxi for airport for 10:30am through hotel service, at 10:45am they still said the taxi will arrive within an hour. Had to rush and get an external taxi, otherwise, we would have missed our flight. I would not consider this apparent again.

They threw away my new shoes that I had forgotten. A professional hotel would have waited at least a day. By the evening, it was too late. Strange! The reception staff is really great and were not informed of my shoes. Comfortable beds but the bathroom is really too small. No lights on the balcony.
