"The Guest House was easy to find, located just over the bridge of Isle of Skye. Plenty of parking. No service staff on hand. Continental breakfast supplied in room. Overall a pleasant stay. Our room was spotlessly clean & a comfortable bed."

"This property is still a work in progress. The cabins were wonderful and the view is amazing. The staff was friendly, but not overly attentive or helpful. The parking lot is a mess and my car wheel was nearly stuck in the ricks twice. "

"Beautiful location (waterfront), extremely friendly and helpful staff, close to lots of walkable dining options,…. Only con was that there were very few close parking spaces. One night we ended up parking in a pay to park lot about 5-10 minutes walk away. Not ideal, but not a deal breaker. Still would recommend this hotel if staying in Portree."

"The hotel was so cozy and comfortable. Very nicely decorated and great beds and chairs in the rooms. Everything was spotless. The staff were really accommodating despite all of our off the wall requests. So much care is put into the food, it would fit in easily with any upscale New York City cafe. "

It was exactly as portrayed: an historic (and idiosyncratic) small inn/hotel; not fancy, very straightforward; on the water in a wonderful location; a great kitchen punching way above its weight. But the best part was its staff. Warm, genuine. I felt cared about by every staff member I interacted with. Kudos."
