Perfect location near Tower Bridge. Room is big and spacious and staff was good. Only problem was we had to ask for housekeeping for clean towels and toilet tissues
Room, bathroom & balcony were nice & lift was convenient as we were on the top floor. The staff were useful & TV was small with loads of channels.
Duvets were great but mattresses were old & sunken in middle. Needs replacing l!
No breakfast.
Bus stop convient for both West & Ost (East) stations.
Air conditioning was noisy & probably needs servicing but cooled the room down when required.
On arrival found that the kettle had been used to poach eggs & remnants of egg white had to be washed out before we could have a cuppa. Not happy about that.
Could do with a better supply of teabags, sugar & perhaps cartons of milk would be better & advantage to improve room.
Shower was big but Shower head only produced a narrow flow. Again old & could do with replacing the shower head.
Not much communication with front desk only to sign in initially but offered a 10% discount for Chinese restaurant next door. (Lucky Lucky)
Overall it was adequate for our basic needs.
We were a family of 5 traveling together. We had a room of 3 and a room or 2, right next to each other, each with a bathroom. The hotel is dated, but the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean. The rooms had fans to circulate air, but you need to leave the windows open in the summer time. Centrally located, rooms right over restaurants and in the heart of everything happening. Good for getting around, but the World Cup was on and Switzerland was playing, the entire town was cheering while we were trying to sleep. Not the hotels issue, just happenstance and it would've been great if we had just gone down to watch the game with them. Breakfast not offered, that's ok too. They had parking for us in the back. Pay attention to how the GPS takes you there... it's a little deceiving. You really want to approach the hotel from the back entrance, not the front where everyone is walking. Loved our stay in Switzerland.
This hotel was within walking distance from the train station called Interlaken West. It is in an area with multiple restaurants, tourist shops, and a small grocery store (called coop) where we got drinks and snacks several times, including items for our breakfast. The hotel overall was clean, and our room was very clean. It was not luxurious, but it was fine.
We were there at the end of July, and the weather was hot and humid. Our room did not have air conditioning. The room had 2 portable fans in it. There was a large window and a door to a small balcony, so we could open the window and door to let some air come in. However, on the ground level there were restaurants with outdoor seating, and when we wanted to go to sleep at 10:00 or 11:00 in the evening, the noise from people at the outdoor restaurant seating was very annoying if we (on third floor) had the window or door open. So, the choices were to put up with the noise of people talking and clanking dishes (it was surprisingly loud) or close up the window and balcony door and have a hot room. In cooler weather, this would not be a problem.
Staff were nice and helpful. room had big windows with a view and was relatively quiet for a large town. very convenient to dining and shopping, train station.
It was roomy, all details including bed lamps and and shower necessities were handled well. It was quiet and clean. The building was a bit old, doors a bit dilapidated, and a bit expensive.
Dirty room old linens unresponsive staff. No amenities at all and high price. The only good thing was location to bus and train. Interlaken is beautiful but this hotel is definitely a no don’t go!
