The Hostel was right at the center of the city. It was well maintained and staff was friendly too. Really appreciate the cleanliness. Must recommend.

Expensive booking through Expedia , book it directly from the hostel website. You will be able to get the same room for roughly one third. Staff was nice and courteous. Location was awesome and again since it’s a hostel you can’t expect everything.

Hostel was in a great location in the city centre (however that meant slightly further away from the train station ~15 min walk which was a slight struggle with a heavy luggage). Service staff were helpful and friendly. Room had amazing view of the mountains. Decent breakfast spread. The room had a slightly musty smell. Lack of PowerPoints in room for charging

Full kitchen with many cooking stations and conventional ovens too. You can absolutely buy groceries and cook from scratch. Free breakfast (bread, cereal, yogurt, fancy coffee machine, hot chocolate, tea). Free dryers (coin laundry). Rooms are spacious if you book a private one. Next to bus station although train station is also walkable. Can borrow a hair dryer. Room amenities are limited but not a concern for us. Separate shower and toilet and sink in the room. Plenty of large lockers that will fit large suitcases, and lockers in the room if you're sharing the room with someone else. Recreational activities include ping pong, foosball etc. All free to use. Excellent location. Nice gardens and terrace spaces too.

In our room we can hear people scraping their chairs in the middle of the night. We would suggest putting covers on the chair legs to prevent the noise.

Shower improvements needed!

1) The shower has a curtain and not a screen which is very uncomfortable water comes out from all sides. also there is not a good support for the shower head. 2) Breakfast: the variety of products could be improved.

Everything is great at this stay except one incident that happened during our stay. At around 11:30 pm one night, a male customer had key access to our private room (females only). The receptionist gave him the wrong key to my room. We were not very happy about that. Luckily, nothing bad happened. I take safety seriously while traveling aboard and what happened was disappointed!

This’s good option for middle price in peak season. We chose it because too late to find other hotel close to Interlaken Ost station. There’s a public sharing kitchen , that’s little convenient, however also uncomfortable because not really clean when people share using. That’s good they have a laundry room. Free breakfast doesn’t have many options, but enough for people to get some energy in the morning. The bus station is right on the front of right side so very convenience. They give you pass to use free buses & some train directions close of the town in stayed days. The minus point is no AC & fan in our stays that really terrible when it’s so hot & humid! My kids couldn’t sleep well, better little at nights when we opened the windows, however still uncomfortable because no air flow in room, the bugs could get in when opening the windows. The hostel is basic same motel in US. Overall I rate 7/10.
