"Overall, we had a good stay at The Hills Residence in Simpson Bay and would stay here again now that we know what to expect. The views were absolutely wonderful, and both check-in and check-out were seamless and easy. There were a few things worth noting for future guests. The room could have been cleaner, especially in low-traffic areas that clearly don’t get much attention. We also booked a room advertised as having one king bed and one queen bed, but it was not clearly communicated that the queen bed was actually a pull-out couch. When we opened it, it was unfortunately quite dirty. That said, once we contacted the property, they responded promptly and sent someone over to spot clean it, which we appreciated. The property is literally on a hill, so if you don’t have a rental car or have mobility limitations, getting up and down may be challenging. There is also a church next door that can get fairly loud, even with the doors and windows closed. Communication was another minor challenge, as I received conflicting information between Expedia messages and WhatsApp. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed our stay overall and would return in the future with this prior knowledge. "

"Hotel was absolutely perfect, location is superb. Very clean everywhere. Staff is extremely accommodating. Very close to restaurants, casino and food store. Beach chairs are always available. We had oceanfront first floor and loved it. Going back from now on every six months."

"Location! Little Bay is great/beautiful beach. Good pools, restaurants and over all feel. Good for families. Room was fine (nothing special) but you’re paying for the view/location. Biggest complaint was that it’s notably understaffed, creating long wait times (pizza stand and bar in particular) and making staff seem annoyed or indifferent. Quick ride to Philipsburg and not bad to /from airport and others parts of the island (never/barely had to wait at cab stand)."

"The house was the perfect mix of privacy, convenience and space. We have a family with two teenagers and a small dog and this house was a great fit. Alexandra, our property manager had snacks and a chilled bottle of champagne upon on arrival and was super helpful in having suggestions on local markets, restaurants, etc ready for us. I would definitely recommend to anyone!! Thanks Alexandra!"

"Two bedroom 2 bath full kitchen on the beach. Beautiful views. We rented a car and it was easy to get around once you got used to it. Close to grocery store, Zipline, and town. Traffic is variable but so what you are on island time! Some staff were very friendly others not so much. Clean, a little run down but didn’t bother us. Laundry available with quarters. Umbrellas and chairs complementary. Cabs available and reasonable. French pastries great! You can even order from market on site. Food was good at the gingerbread cafe. Would come again for sure with more people! "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Simpson Bay Resort, Marina & Spa! The location was perfect, the views were beautiful, and the staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed relaxing by the beach and pool, and everything we needed was close by. The atmosphere was fun, peaceful, and exactly what we needed for a vacation. We’re already talking about coming back again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting St. Martin!"
