"Carlos picked us up from the ferry in Hvar and drove us to the apartment. He carried our luggage to our 2nd floor apartment which was big, clean, cool with two balconies. We were given great recommendations and Carlos was so friendly and genuinely nice. We walked every morning and back each evening from the main promenade. Maybe 15 minutes but well worth it. "Overall, the hotel was a good experience. However, we paid for a sea view room, and got to our room and the sea viewwas completely obstructed by trees. They should not ever consider that room as a sea view. We flagged this and they moved us, but only had a room with 2 beds that needed to be pushed together, which wasn't ideal and we still had trees in our way but it wasn't a complete obstruction. But we paid for a full sea view, not a partial one, which was disappointing. The property is a little tired and needs to be power washed. The rooms were fine. The showers don't have doors, so water gets everywhere and soaks all the way over to the sink. A bath mat doesn't stand a chance, so don't put one down, it'll get completely soaked. The pool isn't kept very warm. We learned that the European way is to say it's "refreshing" instead of "cold". Felt the same as the sea, to be honest. The location is super walkable into town, which was great! The bedding was nice and soft and the beds were comfortable! And the hotel sends a van down when each ferry lands and offers to take your luggage for you, which was super convenient!"

"I loved this hotel. It was right in the middle of Hvar town and the view from our room was beautiful. You could open the window and just watch the harbor in action. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was fabulous! Breakfast was good as well! The top floor pool was great and the free transport to and from the port was very much appreciated! Highly recommend!"

"This was a gorgeous apartment for our family of 4. We had two bedrooms with two shared beds and a living area with a large TV for World Cup viewing when we weren't out and about. If you love a/c this is your place. We had to turn it down because it was actually too chilly for us - a welcome turn since our prior two Airbnbs had underperforming a/c units. The kitchen/dining area was perfectly equipped and had a wine fridge, full fridge, breakfast table, dishwasher, stove top, Nespresso, etc., so we ended up shopping a little so we could have apps and breakfast in our beautiful home away from home. The only downside was that we were directly across from a (lovely) wine bar that stayed popular until 1am. Thankfully, the noise did not seem to penetrate the bedrooms. Also, based on the pictures, I thought we would be in something like a loft - with airy windows. However, we were on the ground floor - no bright, airy windows. The ground floor was super convenient and the apartment was so beautiful that we were happy just the same, but this is something to be aware of to manage expectations. The location was absolutely perfect. Any questions were very quickly answered and we were so happy they warmly accommodated an early arrival so we could enjoy a longer stay on Hvar."

"Villa Lacman was such a good find and such a bargain! Sad to only stay for 2 nights the room was so lovely. Nice big room with space for luggage and unpacking clothes. The shower was very good. The room was well lit and there were lots of places to hang things. Very comfortable! We found the mattress a bit soft for us, but that's a personal preference as we prefer a firm one back home."
