Muskoka lakefront island cottage suitable for large families

For rent is our beloved cottage on Boyd Island, Kahshe Lake, Kilworthy, ON. This is a boat access cottage.

The cottage is perched approximately 40 ft up and over the water with AMAZING sunsets each night. There is a small island out front of the cottage that protects swimmers from passing boats! It's great a fishing spot or swim to it and explore.

It is a three bedroom cottage with a futon in the living room. It comfortably sleeps 7**. There is a full bathroom with shower, new vanity and an enviro-toilet that works like a charm. For those who like to 'rough it' there is a functioning outhouse out back with a great view into the surrounding bush.

The cottage has an open concept kitchen and living room with 20ft cathedral ceilings. There is a t.v. available and a bell satellite dish available for you to hook up your box to.

The cottage has both charcoal and propane BBQ! You MUST bring your propane tank and/or charcoal!

The cottage water is pumped from the lake. It is great for washing dishes and showering, but not for drinking. Renters must bring their own drinking water.

There is a fire pit with a view of the water.

Due to Covid-19, we now require renters to bring their own bed sheets. Comforters and pillows/pillowcases are provided. (2 queen beds, 1 double, 1 twin).

No smoking, small pets allowed. Renting by the week. This is a water access cottage. No boat included in the rental, but water taxi is available and there are lots of toys when you get there! Paddle boats, paddle board, etc.

A Lovely Week
We really enjoyed our week on Kashe Lake. This is a beautiful spot, with all you need for down time at the lake. A beautiful swimming & boating lake with lots to keep teenagers entertained for the week. Carlie was a fantastic host- responsive & generous; she went above & beyond to make us welcome.

Great spot!
Perfect for families. There’s an island across from the cottage so no boat traffic! So much fun fishing and jumping from the dock. Great stay!

Great vacation!
Beautiful, fairly large lake. Clean, comfortable beds. All the comforts of home with cottage feel. Spacious, yet cozy cottage. Saw loons, humming birds, chipmunks and red squirrels. Caught and released pike, bass and walleye. The water was great for swimming as well. The weather was amazing all week, we had a great vacation.
