A nice little getaway in Huntsville. The property is nicely located on a lake with access to the water, beach and outdoor activities. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The resort could use some renovations, but overall a nice stay.

Good for the kids. Facilities could use some updating. Private Beach on the lake was great.
Staff was pleasent, room was clean. And lots of activities to keep busy. The noise between rooms was not peaceful. Recommend asking for a room without joined doors. All in all a great experience.
Overall, the hotel was good and acceptable. The location was excellent, and the beach and views were amazing.
The indoor pool was a bit dirty, but the outdoor pool was nice. The AC was somewhat noisy and seemed old, but it was manageable.
Breakfast was good, and the resption and staff were excellent and very friendly.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back again.
Great place for kids lakefront canoes and kayaks and beach. Unfortunately though the place has a bit of a run down feel. It could use some renovations. Staff was very friendly. Kudos to Lana for her understanding and help!
We had a great vacation while in Huntsville and were very happy with our stay at Hidden Valley. Our room had a beautiful lake view and the staff were positive and helpful. The morning breakfast was great, coffee was amazing and overall, it was a fun and relaxing resort to be at. We will definitely stay here again!

The location is definitely the best part of this resort. The private beach, outdoor pool, and buffet breakfast were excellent, and the staff were nice.
However the building is quite outdated, the AC fan was noisy and we could hear noise from the room next door. There is also no elevator, which can be a real struggle if you have heavy luggage and your room is on the third floor.
Overall, it was an okay stay mainly because of the great location and amenities
The potential of this property is mind blowing! The views, waterfront and location are exceptional. I can not believe the management and ownership has allowed the property to decay.
Ceiling tiles all out of place, holes in the wallpaper, stickers have removed from the dressers. Our headboard wasn’t even attached to the bed frame.

This property is quite dated for the price they are charging. We asked to have our room done after the first night but it wasn’t done. The restaurant on site was expensive and the food was terrible so do not recommend. The amenities are nice but for the price per night, I would have expected it to be more modern. They have two EV chargers but more of them would be betters. The beach is very nice though.
When we booked with Expedia we booked the lake view with a king bed. The room we were assigned had a king bed with a lovely view of the parking lot. When discussed this with reception we were advised that all lakeview rooms have two queen beds and the only description on the paperwork was a room with king bed. The staff were very helpful correcting the Expedia error. In the end we enjoyed our stay.

We had booked a regular room but was upgraded to a larger room for free after the staff had known that we need more space. We appreciated that.
The facilities were great, it has its own private beach. Paddle board, kayak, canoe, paddle boat were all free to use. There's also tennis courts and free racquet rentals.
The resort is a little bit outdated without elevators. It sometimes ran out of free coffee and hot water and we had to go to the restaurant for the refill. Although the restaurant is very close, it was just not quite convenient. There's also shortage of beach towels from time to time.
Staff were mostly very nice though.
This is a resort fee was the lowest among other resorts and hotels in the same area. With this low price, I would say the service is fair.
Food was not the greatest. Menu was limited, breakfast buffet was mediocre, had to wait quite a while for coffee to be refilled. No lunch is available.
Quite a lot of stairs from the resort building to the beach and outdoor facilities that should be noted especially for seniors and persons with mobility issues. As well there are no elevators on the premises which should again be noted.
Staff were excellent. Very helpful and pleasant.

The rooms with patio are above ground. The ones without are in the basement. We were in the damp basement. The resort has a lovely beach, water sports equipment, tennis, basketball, pool, etc. all sounds great. It is just so tired and dated. We chose not to eat here so I don’t know about the restaurant. We won’t return. I’ll spend the extra $50-100 and stay at Deerhurst.

Hill view with balcony is actually view of parking lot. No elevators. The many stairs going down to beach are uneven with no railing. Restaurant and outdoor patio were nice. Worst part of resort are rooms and room service. Walls are paper thin. Everything (unfortunately) could be heard in neighbour’s room especially through large gap under adjoining room doors where we stuffed towels. The door to hallway also had a large gap and you can hear everyone’s conversation in their rooms. Room service entailed changing towels and just pulling sheets up, no cleaning. Attendant knocked and opened door at same time while sleeping in morning on checkout day. Make sure you use the chain on door. Really no privacy in rooms.

Nice and cosy location with a beautiful lake view.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Overall, I would say it was an acceptable value for money. However, the property seems to need some serious maintenance and repairs, and perhaps even a renovation.
Surprisingly, the restaurant was closed on our first night. We had a chance to try it on the second night, though, and the food was good enough.
Our room door was stuck, so opening and closing it was not easy. The indoor swimming pool was also not clean enough, although the outdoor one was in better condition.
The hand soap in our washroom ran out after the first day and was never replaced.
Another issue was the soundproofing. There was very little privacy, and we could easily hear noise from the rooms on both sides.
Overall, the location and the staff were good, but the property definitely needs some attention and maintenance.
Great location and very courteous and helpful staff, however the building and rooms are out dated and seems owners have not invested in updating the rooms or the equipment. The bath tub wasn’t draining they sent the maintenance to fix it, the TV was old it kept dimming down when on and the remote wasn’t working. There was no hot water throughout the hotel for few hours, and they ran out of towels at one point. There was only one very old microwave on our floor next to the ice machine and it stopped working on the third day of our stay.
Very disappointed specially with the price we paid, not the best experience!
The property was in a great location. However, it was dated with holes in the walls & many things that didn't work. We received a complementary breakfast coupon which was great. How ever I would have been Really disappointed to have paid for the quality of the buffet breakfast. No fresh anything & poor quality options.
The pool area was unsafe.
There was no stair lighting or it was falling apart
I reserved a partial lake view room on Expedia but there's no such option when you go to check in so we had a COMPLETE parking lot view with no recourse other than to drive,4 hours home.
