"Perfect location - castle, cathedral, museum and shops within easy walking distance. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in room always a plus! Carpark to the rear also a bonus. En suite shower room adequate, (plenty of hot water and good shower pressure), but a bit tired, and loo flush woefully poor. But it's an old and quirky building so........ Breakfast OK. Had 2 evening meals, very tasty and plenty of veg."

"Unfortunately it was a disappointing stay. Nothing wrong with the room, the service let it down. In the evening I stood at the bar nearly half an hour waiting to order food, only one person serving and I couldn’t blame her she was trying. So I went elsewhere. Twice I asked about the time breakfast started and both times I was told 8.00. At 8.15 in the morning the door to the restaurant was still locked, so I just left as I had a job to get to. I won’t be staying here again. "
