Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Though this was a very old hotel the room was very clean. It only probably had a total of 10 rooms. Not much of a breakfast but better than nothing at all. I would stay here again. Could hear folks walking above but it was understandable considering age.
Good clean room. Although older, it was a good value for an overnight stay.

Disliked: Amenities
Not at all what I expected, however, considering the town, I understand now, as there is nothing there. (There is a cute little town square but everything was closed.)The room was okay but the bathroom was ridiculously small. Take an extra pillow with you. One set of towels for two people. The Continental breakfast was pitiful. They didn't even take the bread out of the bag! I couldn't get a copy of my receipt and was told I would have to use the one from Expedia.
Nice, clean facility, with friendly staff. We stayed two nights. We would definitely stay again if back in the area.

I stayed here for the price and star rating but after spending the night, I probably would have picked another place. The room needs updates especially the bathroom. Breakfast was very limited. The room was OK and the best part was, staff was friendly and efficient.
Very old building. TV network didn't work even after management contacted their service! After getting morning coffee we Didn't bother with breakfast! Bath towels were super old and small. Tub backed up
A bit pricey for an older property but close proximity to Wind Cave was worth it. Place was clean and comfortable; clerk was friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Clean enough but a cracked wall in shower & on wall outside bathroom. Aur conditioner unit was very dirty but othereise unit was average clean. Stool plugged up but ckeared by morning.
This was an okay budget hotel. It definitely is older. The bathroom was very small. The wall above the shower was crumbled and falling apart. The air conditioner was very old. We stayed because it was the closest hotel we could find to wind cave national park at the last minute. Its not the worst thing I’ve ever stayed in but it’s not the most up to date or the best either. The staff was friendly and helpful and it’s in a decent location.
Place will do the job if the alternative is sleeping in the street. At this price, I seriously considered the alternative. It’s a rundown building, lobby smells of some unidentified smell. Tub was rusty, beds looked dubious, so I didn’t even open them. I used my sleeping bag on top of the covers. Can’t say it wasn’t clean, but it was the bare minimum.
This hotel is perfect for a night on your way to Mt Rushmore. It is a little older, but the staff are friendly and provide a small breakfast to get you started on your trip.
Affordable price, decent room wiyh working microwave and fridge, but no free breakfast due to COVID, wifi a bit spotty. Walking distance from Evans Plunge.
Sweetest little couple who were very friendly and welcoming. Made me feel right at home. Quick overnight stay for an early morning appointment. Had a good nights rest and it was very quiet, no traffic in the streets!
The owners were so easy and pleasant to work with. Our room was just a bit outdated but the the exciting part was that they were replacing the carpet and updating the room next to us so I'm guessing the room we stayed in was next. The price was amazing! We will be back!
