Very nice inn. Rooms very good , food and ale very good , staff friendly , the lady who did breakfast got up early to feed us ,and the quality of the breakfast is very good ,cannot fault .

What a pleasure
We stayed for 2 nights. We received a warm welcome, our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Breakfast was superb and the staff were just lovely what a pleasure

Great pub with excellent accommodation (stayed in the 'Puncheon Room') which was well appointed, comfortable bed, lovely spacious bathroom. Had evening meal and breakfast at the pub, both were excellent (can fully recommend the 'Peak district roast leg of Lamb'), and good breakfast option of full English and granola/yoghurt/fruit. Outstanding location which is stunning on a sunny evening. Can happily recommend for any type or length of stay.

I could not recommend The Barrel Inn more!! The room, facilities, service and food were great, and there are lots of beautiful walks right outside the front door. We will definitely be returning again soon

A lovely country pub, staff friendly and helpful. Owners both friendly and 'hands on'. The room we were in (PIN Room) was very small and so we will pay extra on future visits for a larger room. Food excellent. All in all a good time was had by us both, and we are looking forward to our next visit.

We had an overnight stay and it was perfect for that. Rooms were on the 'cosy' side but thoroughly enjoyable. Great views to wake up to in the morning, even if it was raining. All staff were friendly and accommodating.

n absolutely fabulous birthday treat.
Stayed here for two nights as a birthday treat. Can’t fault the place. Staff so good and welcoming, can highly recommend the evening meals, some cracking wine for the meals as well. Defiantly not disappointed.

Reat place to stay, super staff.
Fantastic staff. Really comfortable bed and goid nights sleep, but property showing some signs of repsir needed, peeling paint and dirty grouting. But overall lovely stay, great breakfast and as i said super friendly staff.
