It's lovely place with enough space for all of us including a small dachshund.
The hardwood floors have the "lived in" look which is nice and cozy. The unique seating in the kitchen, bottles, surfboards gave a wonderful "hang loose" feel.
The not so wonderful poop in the yard upon arrival was a shock but not a big thing, especially since we are asked and should clean up after our dog,
The biggest issue for us was the driveway. It is very steep so both our vehicles scraped the bottoms in and out.
I would stay again.
The house was wonderful for our extended family stay in Hood River. The location was great, and free street parking was nice. Many aspects of the home are updated so it was old and quint yet with new appliances, nice tile showers, etc. Perfect for our stay! Thanks for making it available.
This house is well stocked, clean, and comfortable. It has 4 good sized bedrooms with comfy beds. The kitchen is large and has everything you need. Great fenced in yard and deck for the dogs. Easy neighborhood walk to town and the gorge for shopping, recreation, and dining. We will be back.
Easy to control heating systems...great deck and view...walking distance to downtown...quiet neighborhood...loved the showers...Roger came by and was so pleasant and helped with the remote tv operation...thanks so much—we really enjoyed our stay!!
We had a great time. The house was spacious, bedrooms were large, and there was enough space for food and cooking. The lights were funny in the kitchen, so there wasn't much light, but other than that we had no issues with the property. Nice to walk downtown, spread out in all the rooms, and enjoy family time.
Dishwasher works poorly, we had to hand wash some things even after we ran the dishwasher twice. Would have been nice to have a few more Staples in the kitchen.
a little dated but great looking house/yard and all the amenities were extra special
House is adorable and yard is beautiful. The house is a little dated, but thought the decor was fun and loved the variety of deco (beach, cabin, vintage, bright color etc.) There were lots of amenities (iron/board, fans, lots of dishes./pans, extra towels, etc.) and that was really appreciated because most "house" rentals I have stayed in can have the bare minimum. Oh and Beds were very comfortable, love that!!
This is our second time staying here. The house is comfortable and pet friendly. We enjoyed the view from the deck, and the easy walk into town. We really enjoy this house!

We were soo overly excited to stay here, until we opened the door. The only thing to be excited for is the view. From the start, it was advertised as one price and then was way more expensive than advertised. There is major issues with the inside of the house, paint chipping, the front door locked from the outside with a key, but no way to get out the front door if you are inside at that door, unfinished walls, ceilings, bubbling paint, the stove handle was not working and when we tried to use it the other side of the handle fell off, and I had to open it by touching the hot door. I will most likely never use this company again and will not recommend it to anyone, unless telling them why they should not use this company. We were very disappointed and for the cost of what we were charged especially when Hood River Vacations.com website advertises 170 for rental fee a night, and everything was very outdated. The pictures are deceptive on what you are paying for.
Wonderful neighborhood location! House was definitely run down, but still comfortable.
Easy process. Comfortable beds. Had all we needed. Loved the location! House is dated and could use some clean paint - but would totally stay again

Great house in Hood River!
House was perfect for a weekend getaway in Hood River. Nice and cozy, but plenty of space for a family or guests at the same time. The grill was a nice added bonus! Would definitely come back.
We really enjoyed our stay. Downtown was an easy walk, and there was a great view from the deck. The house is very comfortable, and we appreciated that it was dog friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

Meh
Home needs some serious TLC. Good location but the ants are ridiculous. Home sleeps a lot of people but what's the point with 2g WiFi not worth using. Some of the beds need upgrading, hole in the Deck marked with Tape. Would be great with some games for windy rainy days. Kitchen was well equipped and home was clean.

Worked out great!
We were really happy with the one-week accommodations at Heartbreak Hotel! Nothing fancy, but had everything we needed. Stoked with all the kitchen appliances & utensils. Hot water showers were awesome too! One comment....wife wished there was a TV in the master, she noticed the TV wall mount!
Overall great stay. Beds were very comfortable. Got pretty hot at night even with all fans and ac on. There was a soft spot on the deck that was just marked with tape which my toddlers foot went through. Great location.
The house is in a great location, very easy to walk to town or even to the waterfront. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the view from the side deck was great, and a nice place to eat meals. The only air conditioning is a single wall unit at the top of the stairs, so the main floor and upstairs bedrooms stayed very hot until the outside temperature cooled down, usually after midnight. I was disappointed in the service from the management company: when we checked in we reported a hardware problem with the upstairs TV, and despite telling us that it would be addressed, they never followed up and basically ran out the clock on us. Otherwise the house itself would have rated four stars.
Good bedrooms, comfortable, aged beds.
Awesome showers
Very functional kitchen
Good amenities overall for a 100 year old house.
Great quiet street.
Great for someone who wants walking potential to downtown Hood River.
Great walking score for this house.
Fenced yard is a plus for a dog.
A group of moms that just needed to get away. This house was great. Easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. We even ended up not going to dinner and just sitting in the living room enjoying the fireplace. Everything was clean and comfy.
