Amazing Mt. Hood and Valley Views at Ziphaus!

This newer home is five minutes from downtown Hood River. Located in the hills above Eastside Drive, ZipHaus has panoramic views of Mt. Hood and the orchards of the Hood River Valley. Enjoy gorgeous sunsets or relax to birdsong on our front deck. You’ll love being close to all the action Hood River has to offer, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet.

ZipHaus has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, with the master suite on the main floor. The master has incredible views of the valley and Mt. Hood, a king bed, walk-in closet and a private full bath. The upstairs has two bedrooms (one king, one queen), two twin beds tucked into the wall of the TV room (which has a 55" flat screen, Dish and Roku), and another full bath. There's a half bath on the main floor off the laundry room. There's also a Pak N' Play and a booster style high chair for littler guests.

The kitchen is roomy and open to the dining and living rooms. It has plenty of storage and a large island with seating for four. The dining room seats six with room to spare and has fantastic views of Mt. Hood and the Valley. The living room features a gas fireplace, a 55" flat screen television, and double glass doors to the front deck. There's WiFi throughout the house. A gas grill on the back patio is available for your use, and the front deck is a relaxing place to enjoy the views with a cup of coffee or a glass of local beer or wine.

Hood River is an outdoor sporting mecca – bicycling, wind surfing, hiking, skiing, kayaking, SUP and just about any other snow or water sport you can think of! Our garage is perfect for storing all of your outdoor gear.

Located just five minutes off I-84, ZipHaus has easy access to the Fruit Loop, Mosier Twin Tunnels, the Whoopdee Trail for hiking and mountain biking, and great cycling routes right out the front door. In the winter, you're just 30-40 minutes from world class downhill skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows, miles of cross-country skiing at Teacup Lake and Cooper Spur Mountain (along with some easy downhill runs), sledding at Little Jon and White River Sno Parks, and miles and miles of snowshoeing.

Beautiful Hood River Home

Five friends enjoyed a beautiful weekend in Hood River. Centrally located to all the beauty Hood River offers. We got lucky with the weather and the gorgeous views of Mt. Hood from the front room.

Wonderful time at the Zip House

This is a great place to stay while in Hood River. Convenient to the city and the river but nicely out of the way and quiet. We had a wonder stay. Plenty of room for 4 adults. Good kitchen if you like to cook. Plenty of outside spaces to enjoy.

This was a perfect spot to hangout with friends for a weekend! Very spacious, lots of natural light, beautiful views, and a short 5 min drive from downtown Hood River! Looking forward to staying again soon.

What an amazing location! Not only are the views amazing, but it's incredibly close to the downtown area and hiking trails. We had everything we needed for the stay and enjoyed the time incredibly. Book it, you won't be disappointed!

Lovely home close to skiing and Hood River

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful house! My husband really loved cooking in the gorgeous and well-provisioned kitchen and we all enjoyed the giant windows with the lovely surroundings. It was super convenient for skiing and snow tubing at Mount Hood and a short hop to Hood River with the art galleries, stores and great restaurants. Thank you so much for making this a wonderful holiday visit!

Beautiful location and home!

This was one of our best rentals. The house was clean with ample room for all to have personal space. The views from the house were breathtaking. It was out of town, but close enough to be near restaurants and other attractions.

House was even larger and brighter than the photos. Very comfortable for 2 couples and a toddler. New house, large kitchen, great views of Mount Hood. Highly recommend it and would definitely come back.

Family rented the house for a long weekend for a family members wedding at Crag Rat Hut. The house is in a great location, easy access to Hood River and the wedding venue. Everything about the house is great. Great views of Mt. Hood. Cleanest place we have ever stayed.

Wonderful get away

It is impossible to say which was better, the house or our host, Diane. The house is beautiful, spacious and has unbelievable views of Mt. Hood and the neighboring orchards. The kitchen is well appointed and the beds are very comfortable. Diane is the perfect host, immediately available, responsive, and kind. We have stayed in many VRBOs and this is one of the very best! Wedding weekend

We traveled from Boston to Hood River for a family wedding. The house was nestled among a delightful pear orchard with beautiful views of Mount Hood from every room. Very close to downtown with great coffee shops and restaurants. Ziphaus was immaculate and tastefully decorated with lots of space to hang out. We would definitely return

Outstanding experience

I imagine we’ll be visiting again soon. Working with Diane was such a pleasure to work with. Her home is beautiful and enhanced our stay. PERFECTION

We had a lovely stay in this exceptional home. So away from everything yet so close. The view of Mt Hood from the house is unbelievable!! Diane was very nice and checked in on us to make sure all was well. I left a bag behind with a pair of shoes and she very kindly offered to mail them back to me.

Fabulous home

We’ve rented homes all over the country and this was one of the best. Great location with breathtaking views of Mount Hood and pear orchards. High quality linens, towels - very comfortable bed. The kitchen was well stocked with high end appliances. Another commenter mentioned dull knives but there was a sharpening steel rod to remedy that. We sincerely hope to return.

Awsome Mt.Hood View!

Beautiful house, nice design. Very clean. Very large windows to see the beautiful Mt Hood and the surrounding pear orchards. Quiet. On a dead end street so hardly any traffic driving by. This is out in the country, 8 minutes from town. Very serene.

Orchard Oasis

Great location. Amazing views and easy access to Hwy 35 and Mt. Hood. But still only 3-4 miles from town. Newer house in good shape with all of the amenities. Perfect for three couples, with three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. We loved the gas fireplace. TVs in living room and upstairs sitting room. We would definitely rent this house again.

Beautiful Views Very Nice home

All was as described. All well cared for. Nice that there were condiments, other food items that you could use and leave some of yours. Front deck for views, back deck for privacy. Warning - traffic (not frequent) coming down hill is often coming very fast.

Hood River Haven for Wedding

This house is perfect for three couples plus a couple kids! Our family stayed for Son’s wedding at The Orchard (very close). Loved the main floor primary bedroom suite with closet built-ins, the gorgeous kitchen & family room with fireplace, front deck for enjoying Mt Hood/valley views. Laundry room & 1/2 bath off Famiky room. TV area upstairs has a nice sectional couch. Plenty of room for three cars in driveway/garage. The trip to town is quick & easy. Owner is great - we hope to return soon!
