The room was advertised online as “All fees included,” but be aware that this does not include the resort fee or check-in fee, which can be misleading. While the resort and check-in fees were mentioned in the agreement, as a customer, seeing “All fees included” gives the impression that there will be no additional charges.I asked the host for clarification, and they pointed out that the resort fee and check-in fee were listed in the agreement. The check-in fee was minimal, but the resort fee increased the overall cost to the point where the rate was no longer as attractive.After my first phone call, I was unable to reach a live person again. I left a message, but no one returned my call, which was quite disappointing.Overall, it was a lesson learned. On a positive note, the room itself was nice and clean.

By Hawaii standards, this is a budget friendly room, privately owned and within the Ala Moana Hotel, a landmark built in 1970, conveniently located adjacent to the Ala Moana Mall. The room is basic, older, and with a small balcony. HVAC puts out no heat, only AC, apparently the norm in this temperate climate. Be prepared to pay an additional 200 beyond your vrbo fee for use of the hotel check-in service and amenities. Parking costs 41 per day.
