Great location and all the amenities of homr

We had a great stay at this property and enjoyed the good communication from our hosts. We would recommend for families as it is close to the beach, has enough of everything you need (cooking, plates, utensils, etc.) to make the stay comfortable.

Great location and views

Such a perfect location. Parking was easy and included. Place was clean and exactly as described. Beds were comfortable. A folding luggage rack would be helpful as well as a charging station for the nightstand. Pool is nice, didn't have keys for sauna. Having a book describing facilities and area sights to see would help. Otherwise we had a great trip! We'll be back!

Everything you need with a great location

I stayed here for 8 days with my three children. This unit could easily sleep 5 people. The location is great! 5 mins to the zoo and beach. Mark was amazing to deal with. They received last minute notice that the pool would be closed and offered a partial refund.I wouldn't slip the room divisor a it doesn't functional well but everything else was great. The fridge had a sticker on it and appeared to be brand new.*the tower you need to use is to the right when you arrive* don't be like me and try to get into the wrong unit.

Fabulous Condo

This is an excellent condo for two friends to stay in with having two beds in the bedroom. Everything is clean and in great condition. Location is close to beach, shopping, restaurants. We would definitely stay here again. Mark our host is responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

Great location for Hawaii

The condo was in a great location, for walking to the beach, shopping and dining. They provided beach towels and chairs, which made it easy to enjoy the beach. There was a power outage, for one day, which was concerning. However, the outage was less time than expected. The unit was clean and well cared for. We enjoyed our stay.

Clean and great location

Great little condo! We were in town for a wedding and having a full fridge and kitchenette was great! The place was clean and came with beach chairs and towels. There was a small cafe in the lobby that you could get espresso drinks, smoothies and a delicious soft serve called a Dole Whip- highly recommend! We had a nice view of the mountains and it was only 2 blocks from the beach - being off the hustle and bustle of Waikiki Beach was perfect but we were still close to bars and restaurants. My only complaint is the parking garage can be kind of a zoo and it is pretty cramped going up ramps to find open stalls. Our minivan was about as big a car as I would want to try and maneuver around in there so just keep that in mind if you're planning to rent a giant SUV. Other than that, I would definitely rent this condo again!

5 star stay in an older but super clean unit in the heart of Waikiki!

The property had plenty of room for two adults and two teen boys. My son reports the couch was comfy. Beds were fine. This is an older property that has been nicely kept up. While it is not a luxury hotel or unit, it meets all of our needs. We were able to cook simple meals and had room to spread out. The pool and hot tub are nice, but crowded! less than 10 minute walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants and entertainment all around. The parking was included and easily accessible. Communication with the host was super easy and friendly. Do yourself a favor and walk down to the Barefoot Beach Cafe at queen surfing beach. Order the swordfish if they have it! cheap ocean front delicious food with live music each night. loved the Hulu show near the Duke statue on the beach.

The apartment is in a good location and has the potential to be excellent. However the apartment itself has many faults. It is poorly equipt and very basic. The kitchen appliances are in a poor state including a faulty microwave. Access to the balcony is difficult as it is almost impossible to open the door. Finally the cleaning service did not pick up on a coffee maker which had been used and not cleaned out. Overall we did not feel it came up to the standards we expect of VRBO.

Great location, great view, unit needs maintenance and updating

We had a really great stay in this unit. The location and view were wonderful. The unit was clean except for some pretty big staining on the outside of the fridge. The unit was mostly as described but really needs some maintenance. The sliding door to the balcony was quite difficult to open. The TV stand and storage unit in the bedroom area were falling apart. The kitchen cabinets were misaligned and some would not close properly. The storage drawer of the stove was broken. In the bathroom the lights were constantly flickering. Sometimes you’d be in the shower and it would be pitch black. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and had a great time. I do hope they address the maintenance issues.

2024 Spring Break at Waikiki Banyan

Overall, our stay at the condo was good, but I struggled with whether to rate this a 3 or 4 stars. The condo is very basic and we got by with the items provided, but a few inexpensive additions would improve guest stays tremendously. Little things like adding a trash can in the bathroom, ice trays that aren’t cracked, or providing bedding for the couch would be what I consider basic. Also, the door on the tv cabinet doesn’t work and falls off if touched, and the stove never actually heated properly and had steam coming out of it. Mark however, was very responsive and helpful in replying to all my messages, with the exception of an extra blanket for the couch. Sheets were provided but I ended up buying an extra blanket for my daughter who slept on the couch (it will only sleep one). The condo was clean, but again, little things like scrubbing down the outside of the white frig would be something to improve overall appearance. We did end up having a great vacation. It is within walking distance to the beach and many restaurants and shopping. We some wonderful family memories and will hopefully come back someday!

Property review

The location was perfect for family. Loved the view. The condo really needed some love and care. Took pictures for self protection. Broken chairs daughter sat in one and the leg fell out of the hole and she fell hurting herself. I set a towel in another chair of the same type and the leg fell off. Looks like condo flooded at some point and floors were lifting all through out, especially in front of the bathroom sink it is literally coming apart and chipping away. Sliding glass door very difficult to open and close even after maintenance looked at it, each day it became more difficult. Terrible water ring in bathtub. Bathroom sink is cracked. When you open the kitchen drawers/cupboards especially under the sink the smell is old/damp and musty and was filthy toward the back. There were filthy sink sponges under kitchen sink in dish drainer. I just left them there. Drawer on stove was broken did not close properly as well as some kitchen drawers. I was disappointed. I will not use this condo again.

Perfect Stay

Condo was in great condition with modern furniture and fixtures and not over crowded. Plenty of seating and space for everyone to sit on the couch or on the balcony. The balcony was perfect with views of the ocean. Check in and check out was seamless and so easy. We could not have asked for a better stay!

Great location! They had couch not a futon as described. Have a daughter and son and they do not share as they are older now but we made it work for the few days before college move in. We love staying at Waikīkī Banyan Condominiums and now with daughter attending HPU we will definitely be back!

Perfect for our vacation stay

The studio was just the thing for our Waikiki stay. Traveling with our granddaughter, we were able to have breakfast in before starting our day of exploring Oahu. The location is great! I will definitely recommend to our friends and family.
