The Hong Kong Cultural Centre has been the heart of the city’s performing and visual arts scene since its creation in 1989. The centre hosts exciting orchestra, opera and ballet performances and contemporary art exhibitions.
When the sun shines over the centre’s north-shore Victoria Harbour location it beautifully captures the building’s modernist design. Find all forms of arts facilities in the centre’s contemporary complex, from a concert hall, theatre and playhouses to exhibition galleries. Reserve a seat in the Concert Hall to see international and national orchestras performing. Hear one of the world’s largest mechanical tracker organs making beautiful melodies in a recital hall specially designed with acoustics in mind.
The Grand Theatre hosts the centre’s opera, ballet and musical performances. Shows are performed on this stage year-round. Language translations are available for English speakers. See intimate and experimental performances at the smaller Studio Theatre.
