"great location and view but check in experience was pretty adhoc. No front desk and even the person on the desk was struggling to commute. Great staff from the intent and service perspective but its just understaffed and old property without a typical hotel like reception and services in after hours"
"The staff at the Riviera were amazing. We got to the hotel early after our long flight from the states and they got our rooms immediately allowing us to get a much needed nap. The views from the balcony were to die for. The perfect place for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. "

"This was an excellent hotel , we had a family room , which consisted of a separate single bed and a king bed in the very large lounge area , and 2 separate bathrooms , the balconies looked out onto both the lake and sideways at the hills , the only thing it didn’t have was air conditioning, but they did provide fans in both rooms , it was over 30 degrees for our visit , so not sure if that’s normal , we used the restaurant for one evening meal and the food was lovely , and one member of staff went above and beyond , explaining in English what things were , not sure if her name . The receptionist that greeted us was also fantastic, even lent us an adapter as I did not realise Switzerland had a different plug adapter to the uk , the lake area had lots of sunloungers , a bar and you could swim in the lake from some steps ,would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone "

"Such a beautiful hotel. Seems newly resonated. Great location. Walkable from the boat stop. Shocked they are a 3 star hotel. Would consider to be a 4 star easily. The pool was amazing with easy access to the lake. Would definitely make a trip back and stay again. "
"We were originally booked in Lucerne, but after a less-than-ideal hotel experience, we made a last-minute switch to Villa Honegg—and it did not disappoint. Perched high on a hill, the staff greeted us with warmth and impeccable service from the moment we arrived. The views were breathtaking, and even our mountainside room felt serene and luxurious.

And yes—there’s a distinct cow scent drifting off the veranda (welcome to the Swiss Alps!), but you quickly get used to it. Overall, a truly memorable stay and one we’d return to in a heartbeat."
