We needed to stay in the Iwakuni area to visit family. The Sun Hotel in Otake gave us a great location; easy walk to the train station for getting to Iwakuni, Miyajima Island and Hiroshima. It was also an easy walk to restaurants in Otake, and a short cab ride to Simose Art Museum. The property was well maintained, clean, and we enjoyed the Japanese breakfast buffet. The best part of the stay was the incredibly helpful, friendly, and thoughtful staff. I cannot express how wonderful they were and how welcome we felt. We will stay there again on our next visit.
