"The location is amazing: right along the middle of the Shimanani Kaido and the island is very scenic. There is a Buddhist temple nearby that is cool to check out, if you catch it in the spring at the right time the Sakura blossoms are breathtaking.
The laundry is convenient and it's a flat 500yen fee to use it, even if you do multiple loads.
If you are arriving by car there's a free parking you can use. The address is in the check in instructions and it's a 2 minute walk from the actual...

"Very tidy little hotel with small rooms but very comfortable beds and very friendly staff. The hotel in adjacent to a supermarket and across the road from train station, very convenient location, would definitely stay again next year. "

"Everything was great! Friendly & responsive service. Clean. Lovely atmosphere. Great breakfast. Free washer/dryer service & luggage hold. It seemed that everyone went above & beyond to make our stay accomodating. I highly recommend this hotel."

"I wish I could give this stay more than 5 stars!!! This house was lovely and the host was incredibly kind. Great option for cyclists on the Shimanami Kaido. "

"As much as I'd like to recommend staying here on your trip to bunny island, I cannot. The host did provide details for self check-in, but the property is in various states of disrepair. The AC is left off during the summer, so when we entered, it was hot and humid. The bathroom was left off as well and had accumulated mold. It smelled atrocious to the point we were pretty sure it would be a hazard to use it. I don't expect to incur any penalties, but the host also had many fee addendums...

"We had one of the tents, which was very comfortable and unique. Excellent staff, and the dinner served outside our tent on a private BBQ was incredible. Also the best breakfast we had in Japan. We rode from Onomichi almost all the way to Imabari, then turned around and rode to Wakka, getting there by 4 pm (good decision because it started to sprinkle rain.) We did not need to use the shared shower because of the (included) entry to the nearby onsen which was full of only local families, so a truly authentic experience. And getting up at night to use the bathroom nearby was actually not a problem either."
"Great little hotel in Onomichi with a superb view - particularly sunset and sunrise. Tip: cab it from the station. (I walked up many, many, many steep steps to get there. Learn from my mistake!)"
"I slept like a baby the moment my head hit the pillow, even in a shared women’s dorm, which says a lot about how comfortable it was. The facility is spotless, modern, and has a high-end feel. The staff is exceptionally friendly, their service top-notch, and they speak English very well. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it."
"Very nice and well equipped studio. Walking distance from the port, good place to stay if you need a place to stay before/after the Shimanami Kaido bike trip."
