The hotel is clean and the decor, understated, but beautiful. The staff were accommodating and friendly. The excellent choices and range of food available at all meal times. Lovely little cottage in perfect position next to a beautiful lake yet still so close to the beautiful Praa sands beach. Lovely big summerhouse right by the lake to use. Only a few miles drive into Porthleven for great restaurants or Helston for a supermarket shop.

Other thoughts - the claim of a lovely countryside view from the balcony of Poldark Cottage was a bit stretched! Similarly, the promise of a queen-size bed was an exaggeration (actually a rather small double) and we settled for the singles.
