Romantic Vintage Carriage in 2 acres!❤️Idyllic location, 5 min walk beach & pub!
The Old Coach, The Coach House, Cadgwith.
Set in 2 acres above Cadgwith Cove behind the beautiful Devils Frying Pan, adjoining the SW coast path. The grounds are home to our free range ducks & chickens, and 3 mad pygmy goats. A short stroll to the 2 beaches in the cove, Cadgwith Cove Inn, and the Cellars cafe. Also Cadgwith Cove Crab and 2 gift & ice cream shops. Converted 1800’s railway carriage, recently refurbished to an exceptionally high standard. Beautiful wrought iron bed, fully equipped kitchen and shower room. The carriage arrived in Cadgwith in the early 1920s and used to form part of the main property until it was rebuilt, and the carriage moved to its own plot under a large cedar tree in 2008. Offering open plan living/ sleeping area, good sized kitchen and shower room, and private parking. Only a short stroll to Cadgwith, the Coach House (also offering a larger carriage and 2 cottages) is a traditional fishing cove where the fisherman still haul their catch daily, mainly lobster and crab, served in the local traditional pub and Cellars cafe. There is also a beautiful small swimming beach, great pub, (folk music Tuesdays and traditional shanty singing on Fridays!) crabshops, gift shops and the most amazing beaches including Kynance Cove all within a 3 mile radius.

Property was exactly how displayed in pictures, exceptionally clean. The grounds was beautifully kept and the host was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. Great location!
Great stay in the Old Coach. As a solo traveller, was perfect with plenty of space, well equipped kitchen, and a stupidly comfortable bed. Such a unique experience and great value. Location is amazing overlooking the grounds of the Coach House, but only a 5 minute walk downhill to Cadwith. The road to the house may be a little daunting to those who have not previously driven to some of Cornwall's coastal villages, but had zero issues and once there, plenty of space to park cars (whichever rental you choose) which is often rare in a village location such as this. Can't recommend it enough and would stay again if available.
A truly amazing stay in a beautiful old railway cottage that has more than you could ever wish for.. an set in a wonderful location.. and our hosts were amazing too.. i fully recommend anyone to stay here..
We stayed in the Cottage instead of the Carriage because of the two children. The Cottage was perfect with a bunk bead for the children and a double room for the adults. It was clean and tidy. I would definitely book this again.

What a great find! Had an amazing time here. Very comfy bed and lovely setting. Beautiful quirky carriage. Loved it. Coastal walks on the doorstep. Good local pub and restaurant. Highly recommend.
It was a wonderful stay at The Old Coach House. We really enjoyed it. Our stay was relaxed, we walked directly from the property to the coast path. That was great for our walks along the coast.
Bespoke, unique and tastefully converted carriage. Bed was comfy and had all we needed for a 3 night stay.
Location was perfect for the coast path and close to the lovely village of Cadgwith.
A thoroughly enjoyable week in the Old Coach House. The coach was well laid out and very comfortable, a really unique experience. The setting is superb, a perfect sun trap with the added benefit of watching the antics of the goats, chickens and ducks. Local area is beautiful, would definitely recommend.
Perfect! Exactly what we wanted in a beautiful part of the country. Ideal location to explore the local area. Peaceful and relaxing couple of days. Paula made us feel very welcome.
Everything lovely arranged, warm welcome, we enjoyed our stay very much, close to coast path and many things to be done in this area; history of this home is impressing (old coach house); we will come again! Thanks to P.&P.
The holiday in this lovely old railway cottage was practically perfect in every way! From the warm welcome to the idyllic location and the Old Coach as an unusal and most loveable and comfortable holiday home. Getting away from things and winding down has never been so joyful. Will definitely come back!
Paula made me (dog) very welcome but was not at all intrusive. Accommodation very comfortable. Lovely locality & no need to travel too far for places to visit
We enjoyed a wonderful fortnight in this charming converted railway carriage. It was clean, comfortable and very well-equipped.
Paula was kind and thoughtful, and the chickens and goats were very entertaining!
The Coach House is beautiful. A lovely quiet rural location. Separate from the other buildings. Its all about relaxing. 5 minutes to the coastal path and the little village of Cadgwith. Easy access to the main road. The only noise are the owls at night. A perfect place to recoup and rechargexyour batteries.
Everything we needed for a lovely week, wonderful walks to The Lizard along cliff path. We drove every day to Helston to pick up a newspaper & provisions. The minor downside is the narrow roads but we only had to back up once all week. We have rebooked again for next year. Fresh air, excellent outlook, no traffic & very private. Cadgwith a short walk along cliff path. Very quite & peaceful.
What a pleasant and friendly place to stay!
We’ve made the most of our holiday! Enjoyed every moment despite the weather! Visited all little villages and beaches around also St Michael’s Mount, Minack Theather, St Ives beach and Seal Sanctuary. We had great walks at Lizard Point and Through Devils frying pan.
Our daughter fall in love with goats! Specially with a little one. They raised each other every day 😊 Zoe also fall in love with a toy fishing boat that was in there and we couldn’t find it in any gift shop. On our last day she received it as a gift from our host.
It was a perfect holiday for us! Lots of lovely memories and pictures! Thank you so much Paula!
A great, cosy, quirky place to stay. We had a free upgrade to a more sheltered accommodation due to a severe weather warning, and a cream tea on arrival which was a lovely surprise.
