"Very pleasant room but our second stay there was an awful smell in the shower that got worse during the night. The breakfast I thought was overpriced as there were items missing when we went down that were not replaced. Tea and coffee facilities comprised of 2 cardboard cups 1 teabag 2 portions of milk and 2 coffee portions. Evening meal excellent good choices and value for money."

"The location is so good and it's just within the old town, so very convenient for traveller. And I like they provided the place in the ground floor, where you can get drinking water, coffee and some snacks. They have gym and sauna room too, which is a bonus! "

"The breakfast was really poor. Often there wasn't any bread left. The bacon was black. Looked as if it was several days old. Fruit salad bowl was empty most days and there was very little choice of jam. The orange juice was souer. We had already stayed in several very reasonably priced hotels where in each case the breakfast was good. We expected better for the price. "

"Hotel Chateaubriand was clean and comfortable. No elevator hence 4 stars. Parking limited but perhaps book ahead to ensure a space. Walk into the city centre for shops etc only about 10 minutes. Really friendly and helpful receptionist when I arrived (2/10/25). Would definitely stay again when visiting Nantes. "
