Great staff and breakfast

Room was good. Bathroom door had a mechanical issue that draws down the grade a bit. Breakfast was excellent and the staff supersweet, extremely helpful and friendly. They really went all the way to help us with our stay.

Great Stay, but wouldn’t return!

Fantastic location and all over great hotel! However, as a couple we had a king room which was rather small, and the bed was made of two singles put together; safe to say the beds kept sliding apart! Bathroom very clean and good facilities, however shower was not particularly hot. Overall a good stay, but Nantes is not a destination we would visit again due to the significant language barriers!

I really love this hotel. I will be returning in about a week to stay in one of the suites. This hotel is very stylish. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are well equipped. The lobby was a perfect spot to work out of. The location is ideal…in the historic center and an ease walk to dinning and shopping. The staff was very helpful. Highly recommend!

Pleasant but small room

Pleasant rooms but compact. Limited natural light in room and bulbs provided soft light, so was a little on dark for working. A shelf in the bathroom wouldn’t have gone amiss. Nice hotel and well situated and pleasant staff.

Wonderful short trip with my children. Booked one of the offsite suites which was a great experience. Pros: Beautiful decor, excellent location, accommodating staff. Cons: breakfast ends at 11 (which I found to be a bit early), no A/C in unit (not a big deal unless it’s quite hot, and then sleeping with the windows open is difficult because of evening foot traffic and street noise outside). Overall it was an excellent stay and we would love to go back.

No designated guests parking for this hotel. Hotel location is hard to find, and underground parking directed by staff is way too narrow for my rental car (Range Rover SUV). Entering the underground parking facility and parking my vehicle was a nightmare and impossible. We have spent at least 2 hours looking for this hotel due to road blockages and search for a park-able slot in public parking area. We have to drag along our luggage from a public parking to the hotel (10 minutes' walk) and only to be redirected for another 5 minutes' walk dragging our luggage to the rental apartment. Also, parking fee is not included for staying in this hotel. Poor information on guest parking options. The rental apartment big and beautiful, and it is centrally located in the heart of downtown Nantes. Very convenient and walkable.

The apartment itself is lovely. However, in the summer there is no AC, which makes it very uncomfortable. The noise from the main square also means that keeping windows open is a challenge. I had 4 young men smoking and chatting loudly outside the bedroom window until around 1:30am!!

The property is in a great location overlooking Place Royale and COULD be great. BUT... there were too many issues during our stay for us to be content given the price paid. My booking stated the property had air-conditioning. It does NOT have any such facility. On the day described as a "heat apocalypse" in the press, that was a major issue, particularly as my son suffers from cholinergic urticaria, and was very distressed. The excuse was that Expedia was mistaken. And so we were the victims. The corridor leading to the property is dark and foreboding. The "virtual key" to the apartment did not function. Reception is situated some 400 meters away, making it difficult with luggage. There was a very sharp nail protruding substantially from the wooden floor on which I hurt my foot. The bathroom is tiny with nowhere to put anything and the very narrow shower panel door means water floods the bathroom floor and stairs leading immediately to the bedroom, a safety issue. The towels taken away were not replaced. The toilet paper was not replaced either, causing us to have to collect some from reception ourselves. There is an ironing board, but no iron. The cleaning was inadequate in some areas which were very dusty. Reception assured me I would not be charged tourist taxes, as compensation. Yet I was so charged, and no-one bothered to respond to my email enquiry. This is definitely not "like home" and nowhere near "better than home" as advertised. Avoid in summer.
