"Good location to visit the KC Zoo and Starlight Theater. Our room and the hotel in general looks a bit in rough shape. Could use an update. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Made up for some of the physical issues with the building."

"My stay at this establishment was an unmitigated disaster. 1st the picture of the room and building online is doesn’t correlate . The room was a mess, with dirt and grime everywhere, and the air was thick with a foul smell. The carpet looks like it was changed a decade ago. The building's entrance didn't exactly inspire confidence either, with a strong scent of weed hanging in the air. Needless to say, I cut my losses and checked out after a single night, rather than sticking around for the full four nights."

"There was a large sticky spot in the carpet and a leak in the ceiling in the shower. I reported the problems and they said maintenance would look into it. With 2 issues in the room, I was disappointed they didn’t move us to a different room or at least comp the room. "

"Our family enjoyed the home and time together. Great location and plenty of space. All areas were well stocked with essential items from kitchen, bathrooms and laundry. There had been some basement water damage due to severe rains but that had been fixed and our host was very concerned about our comfort and immediately took care of any and all of our concerns."

"Everything was as advertised, the showers were clean and the water got hot quickly and stayed hot for all the guests to shower in the mornings."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this charming older home. It has lovely character and a few quirks (one step is about 2 inches shorter than the rest), but the house is well maintained and clean. Communication with the owner was clear and timely, and when we accidentally left a valuable item behind they were extremely helpful in getting it back to us. Another pleasant surprise was that there were zero checkout instructions besides lock the door. Most places I have stayed required taking out the trash, loading dishware, etc. and none of that was required here. The location is excellent for Starlight Theatre and exploring southern Kansas City. We were initially concerned about the neighborhood because of a some questionable buildings nearby, but we never had any issues or felt unsafe during our stay. One note to people with big trucks; the front driveway is quite narrow. I believe there is parking around back, but didn't realize or use it. Just have to be careful about pulling in and backing out if you are in a bigger vehicle. If I am ever in KC again I will check to stay at this place first!"

"Location was in an older neighborhood that was a bit rundown. We had no issues, but did not feel like we were in a welcoming environmentThat is on us. We should get on google maps street view to learn more about the community we are planning to stay in.Otherwise, not hitches at all. This facility is probably more suited to a single occupant. Good place to save cost for a work trip."
