"Immaculate stylish property with fantastic views overlooking countryside. Ample parking for several cars. Lovely touch getting a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and other goodies on arrival after a long drive. Fantastic location with a Rick Stein pub across the road, and several other takeaways in the village. We used the house as a base and did day trips to Lands End, St Ives, Port Isaac and Tintagel Castle as well as several trips into Padstow and across on the ferry to Rock. It’s definitely the best property we’ve stayed in whilst holidaying in the Uk and it is ideal for large groups as it has lots of space and bathrooms to accommodate everyone. There’s even an outside shower for use before getting in the hot tub. Would definitely book to stay here again "

"Friendly family run hotel. Perhaps a little dated but the rooms were spotless and very comfortable. And a decent shower Staff were very friendly and helpful . The hotel is just a five minute walk across fields from Trevone beach and coast path so ideally located for what we wanted. Padstow is walkable. We took the longer coastal route, 6 to 8 miles depending which path you take. Coming back, we took the shorter 2 mile-route across the fields. We stayed in Trevone for the evening to eat at the Beachside Café and listen to some local live music. A very enjoyable stay. "

"Nice old beamed cottage half way up the hill in Tevone. Great beach nearby, also close to Padstow. Local pub (Wellparc) is quite run down, but there is also Rick Steins cornish arms relatively nearby and of course padstow. Cottage is on the snug side for a family of four, it is an old cottage after all. The living room ceiling is low anyone who might be over about 5’8 may need to duck the beams.The shower (downstairs bathroom) was a bit temperamental, but setting heat to 0 and turning it on and off again did the trick, sometimes after a few attempts. Reasonably equipped kitchen. Otherwise all fine."

"We had a smashing time, Hill rise is a perfect little retreat, a short walk down the hill to the beach which is fantastic-we spent hours down there. The house was just right super clean with everything you need. Pete the host was so friendly & helpful-check in was simple. Thank you & I'm sure we’ll be back. "
