"Hotel is older style, with large room. I was particularly impressed with the modernisation of the ensuite and very modern techno shower. Good size enclosed walk in shower and decent water temperature. I dined as a party of 8 in the bar area, food was very good and decent choice on the menu. Staff very helpful and made lockable arrangements for my cycle overnight. I took advantage of the 6.30am breakfast start which was excellent and good choice on the menu. No real downside experienced."

"In our 2-night stay we had no contact with anyone else at the hotel, but could hear othwr guests a little from our room. Check-in was easy with guidance sent in advance, and the room was cleaned well during the day. Lovely three nights away
"For some reason, we were upgraded from a standard double to a suite with a four poster bed which was a lovely surprise. The rooms are not serviced if your stay is 3 nights or less but you can place rubbish, used towels and toiletries outside your door and they will be removed and replaced. There was a large choice at breakfast including pastries, toast, cereal and cooked items all served buffet style so something for everyone. We went out each day and evening so did not have lunch or evening meal at the hotel. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and it was lovely to see the rabbits outside the window each morning and running around the grounds throughout the day. We've stayed here before and are planning to come back and bring the dog next time."
