"We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Astoria. We booked a superior double room with the "garden room" addition at the front of the hotel, and it was a lovely feature that we made good use of. The room is a little dated and tired, but still charming and comfortable, and perfectly adequate for our needs. There was no kettle in the room, but tea and coffee were available in the lounge until early evening, which worked well for us. The lounge and breakfast areas were very well presented, and breakfast itself offered a good selection to start the day. The staff were very helpful throughout and we were given a travel pass for the duration. Overall, a convenient, affordable and pleasant base for a Salzburg city break. Would happily stay again."

"I liked this hotel but the pillows were very uncomfortable and I didn’t find the very friendly. We dropped our luggage off early but it was just put into a room, like a board room. Was a bit worried but it was fine. It was so close to the rail station, 2 minute walk which we loved. But a little further from Old town than I thought but it wasn’t too bad, 15-20 minute walk. You get a free pass for the bus which was pretty easy to get around with and saved our legs at the end of the day. Overall I liked this hotel and would stay again. Just would like a better pillow and I’d rate it higher!"
