(minor inconvenience); eating options were at quite a distance, since the grille at the closest marina is closed M&T. I would recommend making this obvious in the listing, but the view was wonderful and I spent the day reading on the porch, which was very relaxing."

"Great place for the family. Swimming and fishing right in the backyard. Short walk to the dock. Bedrooms were arranged perfectly for our family. 3 bathrooms a definite plus. Cell service a little spotty but that just forces families to spend time enjoying each other instead of being on their phones."

"This little woodland cabin was wonderful! Very clean, comfortable beds, so many different places to sit and relax. The wrap around porch is definitely one of the best parts. We had storms while we were there and my daughter and I loved sitting out and watching the rain and lightning from the sofa outside. We, sadly, didn't get to meet Buster and Peanut as our trip was cut short due to illness (1 year old daughter with high fever), but hopefully will next time. We definitely want to stay again!"

"This was an incredible place to stay and would be a fantastic getaway for a couple or family. The train car was amazing and super comfortable. There was so much to do on the property, you could stay here for days and not get bored. Beautiful setting, too!"

"Well the VRBO website was down so check in was difficult and the owner was unavailable at the time we arrived. The cabin inside was clean but you should plan on bringing TP, paper towel and things like that. (There are stores nearby ) The control for the AC is not in the downstairs cabin where we stayed so we got hot at night and the porch facing the lake had not been swept or cleaned in awhile. The price and the location made up for the inconveniences so I’d definitely book again."

"Adorable cabin at the end of the lane. Excellent amenities, front porch was where we spent most of or time. Sweet little getaway for a couple or small family in excellent condition. However, it is small; one bedroom doubles as the television room. There are no laundry facilities, and no place to really "unpack." The only dining area is on the porch. "This stay was everything I wanted out of weekend fishing/camping trip and more. Beautiful property, lots of wildlife and an all around perfect place to casually enjoy the outdoors just north of Birmingham. We only stayed 1 night in one of the cabins but packed in a ton of fishing with a few buddies of mine and caught around 75 fish total. We enjoyed the expansive wrap round porch in the evening and morning with shared meals with the guys. Donald was so great to us and communicated...

Easy access to the water and floating dock with kayaks and a paddle boat. We had campfires every night with wood which was provided, and spent our days on the water.
