"Check in was quick and even showed where to park. Outside of the Motel is okay but the room was great! Had an end unit (Room 64) which was larger than a basic room. The room was spacious, clean and updated (with a touch of retro - fridge and microwave). Bathroom was a little tight but clean and modern tile with a flare of retro (tube but like new). Location is great! One block from the beach and two blocks to the Hampton Ballroom and Casino and all the shops. "

"We have been to the Mainsail 4 times, the penultimate time being in 2019. Before, it was cleaner. Inside the room: Ceiling fan is full of dust, the air conditioning blades too, the bottom of the shower curtain is very dirty. The staff only changes the towels, but a good sweeper to pick up the sand would be nice. The exterior is perfect. Parking is very good and everything is secure."

"We stayed in the cottage and we had a great time. The continental breakfast was good beautiful view from breakfast room. The cottage was very spacious, beds were very comfortable. We were four adults traveling together and we had plenty of room to spread out. I will definitely go there again."

"Renovations look great. Clean and comfortable. Parking out back is not good for large vehicles. I was fortunate to be able to move my SUV on my second day to the front, but it was not easy leaving the back parking lot. Trucks are too long for the back lot. Only recommendation for the rooms are room darkening curtains. Courtyards room was too bright at night and beaming bright once the sun is up. Also, to travelers, the motel has a coffee station in reception. It's a nice set up, but I recommend bringing a travel size coffee pot for your room if you drink coffee often. Also, room 12 was missing the mentioned microwave. Not sure why there was none, but didn't need it on this 1 trip. Overall, highly recommend this property! "

"Seems like most of the hotel has been updated, our suite has not been. Fantastic breakfast. Clean and warm pool. Good location. Our room was clean and tidy, but in the older part and it smelled like an ‘old lady’s house’ when we walked into the building, but not in our room. Our 3rd or 4th time staying there in about 12 years."
