"When we arrived there was a big power cut in Kaikoura. Finola, the receptionist was very kind and advised us that it would be back on by 3pm. We went down to the seal colony area and found a seafood shack by the beach. We ordered prawns and scallops with salad and rice and it was delicious. When we got back all the lights were on. Gonna was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The room was perfect and the shower room had under floor heating. It was a great stay."
