"The staffs were friendly and helpful. They came immediately to help us as our room was too hot, the laundry was running out of the soap and gave suggestions where to eat. The Japanese breakfast was excellent and it was worth the 1800 yen/person which we enjoyed it very much. We took the bus and the taxi(1000yen) to/from the station."

You need to take the train or bus to get to Akita, but the train is very convenient. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of options even if you are vegetarian. Less options if you are...
