"We had a wonderful stay at Yufuin Hoteiya. The check-in was very warm and welcoming, especially thanks to Oda-san. We loved our private onsen, and both the kaiseki dinner and breakfast were outstanding. One of the highlights was making popcorn in the hearth (Yoppite) room—such a fun and memorable touch.
Service throughout our stay was impeccable, including the convenient drop-off service provided by the staff. The location is also excellent: an easy walk from Yufuin Station, with lots of charming shops along the way, and just a short stroll to Lake Kinrin.
We truly enjoyed our time here and hope to come back again.

"Everything is done correctly and attention to details are second to none.
I would suggest they limit the age of young children as they can be noisy and annoying screaming and running around the resort."
"I stayed here in Nov 2024 and Jun 2025. This property is so beautiful. There is long term construction right next to the property so there is noise during the day.
Everything was perfect to have a relaxing time.

"This was the first time my best friend Lina and I had stayed at a ryokan, and although it was a perfect trip overall, the only difficult part was walking up the hill to the ryokan with our luggage. The staff were very kind, and the two breakfasts and two dinners, each featuring exquisite delicacies, left us in awe every time. The temperature of the hot spring water was just right and gentle. What truly moved us, however, happened after we had checked out. While we were waiting in line at the Yufuin Station, the ryokan owner hurried toward us and handed me my sunglasses. The truth is, I had left the sunglasses behind, thinking they were too old to keep. The owner had noticed I had left them and retrieved them while cleaning. We were so touched that we almost cried. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family, and we are already planning our next visit. Arigatou gozaimasu!"
