"Brilliant setting, we had toured the whole island and this was probably the best hotel we stayed at. Staff were so observant of your needs. Food very good. Have done creature comforts for the Brits especially when your curried out and want a shepherd's pie or a roast but still have all of the Sri Lankan food. Rooms are colonial style, very nice. "The room smelled of humidity, the bed was full of sand when I arrived, and never got cleaned through all the stay. Wifi didn’t work anywhere in the hotel premises. Sri Lankan Dialog connection didn’t work in the room, it felt like a bunker. Staff pretty rude, except for one single guy. What I ate was average. You are forced to consume if you sit at the bar or use the beds on the beach, even though you are a hotel guest. Definitively not worth the money paid."
