Beach Getaway

My oldest toddler has been wanting to see the beach and the sharks. Bethany's home was the perfect spot to check out the Gulport beaches, Jones Park, and the MS Aquarium. Home is quiet and well furnished. Very comfortable and cozy. Would definitely return!!

My sister and I were in Gulfport for a week visiting our brothers and their families and our cousins. This home is cozy, comfortable, immaculately clean, and had all the equipment/features we needed. The beds are comfortable, and the host responded quickly when contacted. The location is convenient for quickly getting around in Gulfport. We will definitely stay there again.

Lovely Home!

We really enjoyed are stay! I honestly can’t find one thing to complain about. We especially enjoyed the snack basket and the complimentary bottle of wine. What a nice added touch. The beds were comfortable. The front porch was nice in the evening to enjoy. We would definitely stay here again.

You have a beautiful and clean home. It was very comfortable for our family of four. You thought of all the little extras from the treats to the toiletries to the beach towels. Definitely recommend and will stay again if in the area. Thank you. Wish every host was as thoughtful as you were.

Gulf Port

The property was very clean, quite neighborhood, All of essentials for a trip to the beach were provided. The description stared it was in walking distance to the beach. It was within a few blocks, but with small children walking isn't really an option. The responsiveness from Vrbo was very slow and led to us having to contact the owner to get directions and instructions on how to enter the house.

Comfortable, cozy, convenient bungalow

We stayed in this lovely bungalow for 10 days. Bethany has done a wonderful job updating this home while keeping the character of the home. She has thought of everything you might need during your stay. The kitchen has all you need should you want to cook. There is a great blender for the frozen concoctions and the ice maker is up to the task.There is a coffee bar with 3 kinds of coffee makers plus teas and sweeteners. We were also welcomed with a personal note, snacks, cold drinks and a bottle of wine. Bethany was quick to respond to questions before and during our stay. We loved the short walk to downtown Gulfport where we enjoyed breakfast ,the brewery and Small Cakes bakery. We also walked to the casino and to the beach. We were able to enjoy the short drives to Ocean Springs, Biloxi and Bay St. Louis. This is a lovely area to explore and Bethany's Getaway is the perfect place to stay.

Home with old character and modern amenities

Went to visit with daughter for a birthday celebration. Bethany had so many personalized touches for us at check in and it was the most thoughtfully stocked rental we have ever stayed in. Kitchen had both Keurig and coffee maker, she provided a “coffee and tea” bar with sugar packets, some creamer, and pods. So convenient if you don’t have time to stop. Even had basic spices in the kitchen that made it more convenient to cook. The bathroom had hotel sized soap, disposable toothbrushes etc. Really everything you would need for a stay. Home is an old home with original hardware and architecture that has been renovated with modern amenities. Just a charming home in a convenient location. There was proximity to a train track, but it did not impact our stay. Look forward to staying again!

First visit to the Mississippi gulf coast area

We stayed the week of Feb. 18, 2024. The weather was sunny and warm and we spent most of our days outdoors. The cottage is located a short walk from the beach and there were good sidewalks and traffic signals in between. The nearby communities of Ocean Springs (east) and Bay St. Louis (west) are short drives from the cottage and well worth the time to visit. Davis Bayou and Sandhill Crane Natl Park are a short drive and worth visiting. The cottage is as represented by the photos. It was clean, bright and cozy, and the neighborhood was quiet. The beds were comfortable and made up with nice linens. There were plenty of thick, soft towels and washcloths in the bathrooms. Travel-sized extras, like shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover wipes, shower soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, were provided in both bathrooms. There were plenty of tissues, paper towels and toilet paper supplied. It was nice not having to purchase those types of products. Bethany was a very gracious host! We arrived after it was dark but the cottage lights were on, inside and out, making our arrival more welcoming. It was so nice not fumbling around in a new environment in the dark! There were snacks and a bottle of wine on the table and a few bottles of water and soda in the fridge. Bethany left a lovely thank note on the table. Very thoughtful! We enjoyed our visit and are hoping to visit again! The cottage is a great value.

The house was impressively clean. We really enjoyed our stay. It was very close and convenient to where we needed to be . The linens, the beds even the towels were very good quality stuff. It was almost like being at home. Much much better than being at some hotel. The host was great and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Adorable cottage and very near the beach and downtown. Squeaky clean! Be prepared for no shoes in house rules and AC settings no lower than 70. Train was fairly close but ran only a few times. Kitchen was nicely stocked. I would recommend highly and would stay here again.
