With the continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic, travelling today comes with more challenges than in the past. Have a read over these handy tips before hopping on your plane to Gulf Islands National Seashore:

• Before committing to anything, see if any travel bans or restrictions apply — in both your destination and origin. Keep informed with the latest updates by checking official government websites.
• When you pass through airport checkpoints, keep your face mask on. You will be asked to briefly lower it to verify your identity. Passengers who refuse to wear a face mask may be fined and denied boarding.

• If you want to take food through the screening checkpoint, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA officer will need to handle your carry-on bag or food container for closer inspection.
