De's Cottage on the River, A Quiet Getaway from the Everyday World

Relive the good times at De's on the Russian River in the Heart of Wine Country (see list of nearby wineries below). This lovely cabin sleeps up to 6 IN 1.5 BEDROOMS, all linens provided.
You have 3 decks to enjoy the shade of the Redwood Trees, the Russian River or views of Vineyards. The cabin's rustic ambiance is heightened by knotty pine walls, which rise up to 21' in the Great Room.
Guests can enjoy board games, a dart board, and badminton or volleyball on the beach.
One queen bed, a futon/sofa. a fold-away bed. two bunk beds (sleeps 5 comfortably).
A fireplace chases away morning chill in Fall & Winter.
Prestigious local wineries include: Hartford, Korbel, Arista, Merry Edwards, to name a few.
For music buffs, we are a little more than a mile from Guerneville which hosts an annual Jazz/Blues Festival every September. You may want to paddle the canoe down to Johnson's Beach and listen to the music. If you prefer a less strenuous alternative, you can enjoy the music from the cabin's front deck.
We know our guests, like our family for several decades, will find the cabin restful and peaceful, an idyllic retreat perfect for weekend getaways or longer vacations--or simply, a restorative refuge from the hectic everyday world.

Wonderful getaway on the river

Cozy, comfortable cottage; great neighborhood; convenient location on the river and close to downtown Guerneville. Could not be more pleased with our stay.

Comfortable and Cosy

Very comfortable home with lots of space to be cosy together or to find time alone. Great outdoor areas for both sunshine and shade. Big kitchen and living room areas with plenty of light. The shower was great - hot water and strong water pressure - very appreciated! We took walks around the neighborhood and could see/hear the river from the property (as expected, no river/shore access this visit due to recent winter rains.). We would definitely visit again. Thanks to our hosts for their hospitality and easy check in/out.

Great weekend getaway by the river

The hosts were very accommodating for us on a last minute booking and we had a lovely time in the cottage. Access to the river was a big plus. A lot of history and charm in this place, would definitely stay again.

Very cozy

Was exactly what my teen and his friends were looking for. A cottage on the river for a fun weekend. Enough privacy and peace. All accomidations were met. Its far into a country-like neighborhood on narrow road so drive carefully.

Such a lovely birthday getaway

De's cottage was the ideal spot for our escape from the fog and as a setting for a family birthday. Tucked away but close to so much. We really appreciated the semi-private cove.

Relaxing Four Day Stay in the Winter

We had a nice quiet stay at Dee's Cottage. Thanks to Michael for his communications and providing a very comfortable get-away. Even with the rains, we love traveling up to The River during the winter. We were able to stroll the neighborhood, walk down to the beach, and take some nice scenic drives, still allowing for a good deal of down time in the four days we stayed.

Great location

Come down the stairs to the neighborhood private beach and enjoy the river. The drive to the house is a bit long but beautiful. The house is peaceful and there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy.

Rustic cute cabin

Stayed here for 2 nights. Absolutely love the place, it is very rustic, only fireplace and space heaters, so it can get cold, but if you’re looking for authentic cabin staycation this is your place. Thank you for such a lovely place. We will definitely be back.

Just what I needed

This a charming cabin. If you want a quick respite from your busy life then this cabin is good for you. I just wished I had more time to stay, just love the swinging bench on the balcony and the river. I'll be back again that's for sure.

We love the place and the neighborhood. Only bummer this year was that there weren’t kayaks in the garage to borrow (maybe they were at the beach?). Otherwise perfect!

What a lovely place to stay, perfectly situated

I had a three-fold purpose to my stay at De's: 1) have a place for hubby and grandson to hang out at that had fishing so that 2) my daughter and I could easily drive to a concert at Santa Rosa and then 3) have a visit with our Guerneville cousin Michael. De's checked all those boxes and then some! Great kitchen / dining / living room are for family collaboration, lots of games available, and a wonderful short walk to the Russian River for wildlife viewing and rock hounding. Comfortable beds and all the amenities. Highly recommend this property!

Amazing Weekend in the Woods

Great spot for a relaxing weekend with family. The house is delightful, the views amazing and the proximity to the river/beach a great plus! The house was well stocked with all basics / cooking appliances / gadgets. There are also lots of board games and between the beach, nature walks, cooking and games, we never turned the TV on. Even the teenagers left their phones to the side. Highly recommended!

Kinda don’t want the secret to get out

This is exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway. It’s a small cabin with lots of beautiful deck and a lovely private river access. If I was to own a cabin I would want it to be like this one - so cozy and homey, lots of warm blankets, comfy seating, and games for kids. Close to town and mini golf so we had everything we needed and barely had to bring anything. Thank you for sharing such a warm and loved place with strangers!

We had a wonderful stay.

Even though it got to 100 degrees this weekend, we were able to stay nice and cool using the night air and great fans. What a cozy cottage and beautiful piece of property. The Wolf was a great radio station. Our evening walks were peaceful with friendly neighbors, delicious fresh air and tiny flitting bats. We slept great, the kitchen had everything we needed and we felt deeply relaxed when we left. Our teenagers wanted to move in and stay forever!

perfect retreat

This is a beautiful cabin with great river access. sits back from the river so you are shaded from the hot summer heat and protected from the loud river rafters on the summer weekends. The cabin has a great kitchen, with lots of space for our group to enjoy. We cooked five times in this cabin and there were plenty of utensils and amenities to make a comfortable meal. Although there is only one bathroom, the access to the outdoor deck, and the private door separating the toilet/shower from the sink really simplified the group situation. We look forward to coming back.

Great stay

Friendly host, easy checkin, good location w easy access to river beach behind home. Second bedroom - you have to cross through master bedroom in and out of room and for bathroom. Spacious great room area, deck in front and back of home. All 3 ladies wished there was a long mirror when getting ready - the only mirror was on a side wall above sink in bathroom (medicine cabinet); we tried to find one to buy and leave at the home but never did. Great having a washer and dryer on the property!
