The property is outstanding and one of the nicest places we have stayed. Stunning views and proximity to Tamar Ridge Cellars a bonus. Only lighting needs attention. Highly recommend.

Convenient to tamar valley. Good base. Kitchen tap blew off and soaked everything. Helen and Mike were very prompt to address problem. Mike did mention we should get a bottle of champagne and a new hairdo to make up for the soaking. But nothing eventuated. Plumber turned up the next evening but blamed the tap manufacturer. Bathroom vanity was also very loose and he just put on some silacon but it was still very loose. Interuptions were not very relaxing. It was my wife's birthday

Yes Andrew, I totally agree, Apartment 9 is for sale and we will not be managing that property after sale.Owners promised it would be of a high standard, therefore we offered it online at a reduced rate.As you are a Tasmanian, therefore likely to return we will offer an alternative property at a reduced rate, that is up to our standard in the future.We were fully booked with no alternative during your stay.

Spectacular views of the Tamar. A cosy feel in a very well appointed apartment. Cleanliness was clearly a priority. Easy check in and out.

Perfect for Relaxation
Stayed in the deluxe king (appt no. 14) for 7 nights and had such a relaxing and enjoyable time. Amazing view of the Tamar Valley/River and very close drive to Brady's Lookout and Swiss Village and not too far from Launceston. Being right on the property next to the vineyards is great, even for short walks. You can even catch the odd pademelon or two at dusk. The chalet had everything you would need - more than adequate cooking facilities, laundry and the bed was so comfortable. It was very intuitively set up and Helen even dropped off some lovely muffins and some milk. Would definitely come back to stay.

Loved the view both from the lounge room and the bathroom and deck. The Lighting in our apartment could be of an improvement to read books as we had to shuffle furniture for sufficient lighting. The kitchen was adequate with everything you need, an exhaust fan would of helped to remove smells from kitchen but thankfully sliding door near deck was close to kitchen so as that could be open. It was lovely to come in and have complimentary fresh muffins made for us on arrival. We recommend this accommodation to anyone who loves to be in a bush setting with a beautiful Tamar River view.

Thank you for your detailed review, apartments are individually owned and not all the same. We are working with owners to have all kitchens with exhaust fans and only 2 need to be improved. We try to have short stay guests in these apartments. Regards Helen

The units are beautifully appointed with great views over the Tamar river. It felt very secluded with there being only 16 units. There is a fantastic wine tasting centre with a popup restaurant on Thursday nights.Shops are only 5km away. The best was the floor to ceiling windows, the veranda and the big window next to the spa bath giving you a terrific view while having a bath.

The chalets were nice, but the traffic noise was annoying. Pity they didn't install double glazing to help with this, and also very cold so needed to run the heater overnight to keep warm.

Glad the extra heater was provided and solved the problem, which in winter with full glass windows may need to happen if guests turn off the heating during the day.

We enjoyed staying at the actual chalet as the view and the accommodation was very nice but the hospitality from the manager when we arrived was the most appalling I have ever experienced she was just downright rude and shouldn’t be in that position.

Our management and staff do not tolerate rude, aggressive guests, it is not acceptable behaviour in rural Tasmania. So when treated in that manner, bullying tactics and confrontation do not achieve anything.

Location and view were fantastic. The cleanliness was not as we would have liked, we found food in the microwave and food left on plates. We felt we needed to wash all the cutlery and crockery prior to using it. In saying this we would definitely stay here again.

Very hard to follow up on a cleaning oversight when the guest decides to be anonymous. Which would have been addressed by the relief manager had they been informed at the time, if you stayed in May19.

Perfect getaway weekend!!
We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and so glad we chose to stay at Armalong Winery Chakets. Had an amazing stay, views were awesome and everything we could have wanted was supplied including Nespresso machine with pods and bath with a view. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back.

Place was very nice, with a beautiful view of the Tamar Valley. Nice patio to sit out on with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. Clean and functional apart from not having a sink in the kitchenette. Some cobwebs on the windows and the blinds were see-through. The top windows had no blinds or curtains at all so a lot of light came in early in the morning

Studio Hotel Style Bedroom, not marketed with a kitchenette. Suitable for an overnight stay. Windows are 5 metres above the ground, with very limited ground access, so cobwebs are part of the rural ambience.

We had a great 4 nights at Armalong Winery Chalets. The location is fantastic for exploring the Tamar Valley and the view from the chalet was beautiful. Helen was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel is amazing in every aspect from the room, bed, view to the location of the hotel. Highly recommend if anyone want to go for a getaway for a couple of nights. Addition to WiFi in our unit is recommended. A perfect getaways from the hustle and bustle city life.

Our chalet was just above the highway and there was lots of traffic noise all night as the windows are not double glazed. There are lots of windows but only sun screens so if you don’t like light at night, this pace is not for you. we were in unit 9. It is poorly maintained. Windows are dirty and full of cobwebs. The outside deck is very dirty. Some of the dishes were also dirty.

Tamar Ridge apartments are self contained properties, on what is a rural location with high windows metres from the ground in a bush setting. Not suitable for US guests needing a serviced hotel experience, which is available nearby for double the rate.

Best place to stay especially for couples. Close to nature and fully furnished apartment with everything that need for anyone from luxury beds to kitchen crocker. Love to book this place again for my future visits.

Peace and quiet among the tree tops
The chalet is excellent, we were among the tree tops. We loved the peace and tranquility, the abundance of wildlife, the spaciousness and the ambiance of the apartment and the wonderful country and river views from the dining/living area, bathroom (which was spacious and worked well) and the balcony. They are well designed chalets and the chalet was well equipped. No WiFi in the chalet but that was OK for a two night stay. We also appreciated the muffins, milk etc left for us. It was a very relaxing and refreshing stay and we would certainly come again. Great location to explore the Tamar Valley.

We enjoyed our stay at the Armalong Winery Chalets. The room was spacious with a great view, and lots of wildlife could be seen at dusk. The accommodation was very comfortable and relaxing and I felt was good value for money. I would definitely recommend this accommodation. Our only negative experience was the insistence by the property manager on payment a few days before our stay even though it was advertised as a pay on arrival property when we booked.

Our Self contained large apartments with river views are offered at affordable rates because we do not have the high cost of reception staff on site. Many guests pay agents months in advance, our terms are clearly stated as payment before arrival. Then a very easy, convenient check in procedure. Regards Helen Armstead

A very nice touch on our arrival was homemade choc chip muffins.The views from our chalet window can only be described as outstanding. Our chalet (No.7) was spacious and extremely well appointed. Quality furnishing throughout, the bed was very comfortable. WiFi very reliable and extremely fast. Top class accommodation at a very affordable rate.
