The owners live next door and were on hand for anything we might need, but we didn't see or hear them unless we needed to. They were the perfect hosts. "Fantastic time to be had by all in this lovely setting. More than enough room for everyone and the facilities were spot on. Location was wonderful, just near enough to a local bar for a quick sundowner before heading back for a pool side evening. The owners were more than helpful and very good at recommending local eateries. I would highly recommend for those looking to relax. Thank you to you both for a wonderful stay. "

"What a big house with everything available. You notice that it is normally occupied, so you quickly feel at home. The location is very quiet, for groceries, bakery etc you have to drive 12 minutes. nicest owners who are continuously available and ready to help you."

"The property is excellent throughout: comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. The garden, with different seating spots depending on the sun's position and strength, is also extensive. I loved the area too, local towns Brantome & Nontron, the Perigord- Limousin Regional Park and the plus beau village of St Jean de Cole. I should hope to return!"

"Sara is a fabulous host and owner of the property and has created a serene setting where the silence is golden and all you hear is birdsong.The property has a distinct boho theme with lots of creative quirks in a typical gite style, plus a great pool setting.The ‘walnut’ gite is all on one level, easy living, power shower, generous balcony with superb views!"

"The house was not clean and old. Lots of spiderwebs and spiders inside the house. It can be a beautiful place with the castle and all but it’s not well maintained. There is a lot weeds and the playground equipment are defective. The pool is loose at the edges."

"We had a very relaxing stay and loved the gardens and surrounding area. The house is lovely - the bedroom separated from the house is very hot and was a little dirty but that’s partly because of the bear stone. Communication was very good leading up to the stay - a couple of minor delays with responses when at the property but overall good. We would definitely go back "
