Too expensive for what your got. Beds are HORRIBLE. Hard, like sleeping on a boxspring. Rooms are minimal. We didn’t even have a blanket. We had a bed spread which only covered half the bed. The toilette seat cover would fall down constantly when your going to the bathroom so either you had to hold it up if your were a man standing or it leaned against your back . The pool is a saltwater pool and not chlorine, which is nice, but you had to pay $2 for a pool towel which seems ridiculous when your paying to stay at a place with a pool. The breakfast was huge. Pastries, fruit, meats, cheeses, cereals, eggs, juices, etc…

Balcony looks over nice pool
A bit tired. Small bathroom and bedroom, balcony looks over the generous pool, buffet breakfast was passable. No lift - our room was on top floor. Good spot to visit Spinalonga leper island by boat. Good restaurant selections in Elounda but you need to drive there from the hotel.

Worst beds I’ve ever encountered. Full stop.
The service was fantastic, but the bathroom was rundown; the shower leaked water all over the floor, and you couldn’t close the door without either stepping into the shower or stubbing your toes. Worst of all, I cannot overstate how awful the beds are. You might as well sleep on the floor because the springs in the mattress were stabbing us all night. There was absolutely no way to get comfortable. For the life of me, I cannot understand why the hotel would subject their guests to such beds. I have no doubt that you could find more comfortable beds in a prison cell — even an inflatable pool raft would be preferable to these. I don’t know how this hotel has such good reviews — if they renovated the bathrooms and got even semi-decent mattresses, it would be alright, but we were sorely tempted to check out after the first night because of the beds.

Dear Anonymous, We are sorry to read your recent experience with and we hope you had informed us while staying at the hotel. We would have addresses your issues at no time. We are sorry though for not accepting your saying as all matresses and beds have been replaced in 2019 on a renovation which took place to the whole hotel and rooms. I would say that our beds and matresses are pretty new. I do understand that might not be of your taste or the same comfort as your home bed but definitely they are not as presented on your comment.

Nice option fairly close to Elounda
We had a nice one night stay as we were in Elounda to try out some restaurants and a boat trip. The Krini was an ok option, very reasonably priced and they provided us with a family area which was 2 rooms which shared a private corridor which was great. We never used the facilities or ate at the hotel so I can’t comment on those but they looked ok.

Superb Hotel

Clean, inexpensive (considering the area), and comfortable hotel with basic amenities. Perfect for the one night stay we were seeking..front desk was kind and welcoming. Basic but adequate included breakfast. Very little on site parking.

It felt like a very relaxed hotel , I can’t fault any of the staff , they were all very helpful,kind , nothing was too much trouble. The pool was cleaner every morning , pool towels are available. The only issue I had was that the hotel was in Elounda not Agios Nikolaos despite the expedia app telling me the hotel was "in the heart of Agios Nikolaos" and showing a picture of the famous lagoon in Agios Nikolas. The hotel was on the outskirts of a different town (Elounda) about 6-7 kilometres away and although the town was beautiful and perfectly fine for our holiday it was not where I had been led to believe I had booked.

Staff were so helpful. Had a late check out for free, leaving gift and a farewell drink from the bar. Aircon, safe and fridge provided free of charge. So peaceful and loved Elounda.

The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. When our air conditioning stopped working they moved us to a better room for the remainder of our holiday. It was nice area around the swimming pool. The air conditioning stopped working during the night but we were moved to another room. The swimming pool was cleaned very much from leaves and the sun loungers were not very clean but would still recommend this hotel to others

We arrived late and the staff were friendly and helpful and we found a bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine in our room. In the morning we found the beautiful outdoor pool area. Breakfast or swim? And in which order? It was slightly out of the centre of town which we liked because it is quieter. We also had a hire car and there was parking within the hotel which made life simpler. We loved it. Our kids loved it. We'd like to have stayed longer.

The staff especially Maria were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and always done with a smile. Location isn't too bad just 15 minute walk from town. Rooms are of a good standard, a few little minor issues like plug in wash basin didn't work as it should but they are minor things. Overall well worth a visit.

We booked this hotel based on good reviews and we ended up being disappointed by how over rated it is. The room (sea view) was at most 2 stars hotel standard. Cheaply decorated , old and noisy air con , super noisy bathroom vent , and electrical board in the room that was old and noisy too. We couldn’t sleep at night because of the noise and the uncomfortable bed. Other wise, the lobby and the swimming pool are very nice and inviting . The breakfast was good and the people who work there are lovely and professional . Just the bed room was the worst in our trip to Crete and one of the most pricy ones

We are quite surprised reading that you found our air con old , bathroom and the electrical board noisy. The whole property has been fully renovated early 2017 and the bathrooms and equipments have been replaced to new ones... Small boutique style hotel.

Lovely boutique hotel in a quiet location
Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel - it’s in a great quiet location, with easy access to excellent restaurants and beautiful views. It’s a small hotel which generally attracts couples, so the poolside was quiet and relaxing. Some nice beaches around - Elounda and Plaka were pretty good but we also hired a car to check out some other beaches and explore. The staff made our stay great! Very welcoming and always happy to help :) Agios Nikolaos is 15min drive away, but we only went there once because we were so happy in Elounda.

Expect the unexpected!
A small, friendly family hotel. Christina the receptionist was warm and welcoming. Our room and bed were very comfortable. A lovely touch was the bottle of wine and water in the fridge plus a plate of fruit. The staff were calm and efficient, the food was abundant, home-cooked and tasty. On checkout we were presented with yet another gift, a bottle of olive oil, packet of Cretan herbs and a bar of lemon soap. Very generous and quite unexpected. All in all, a most surprising gem of a hotel with excellent hospitality.

Real Cretan hospitality
What an eye-opener! Cretan hospitality is legendary, but the Krini staff go above and beyond. From the arrival present of chilled wine and fruit, to the departure present of local produce, nothing was too much trouble for them. Christine on front of house was so kind, even when we changed our minds, several times over! She organised trips, car hire and so much more. The breakfast was the very best of Cretan food - fresh, local, traditional, plentiful, but with European options too, and as much as you could eat, which was a lot in our case! The position of the hotel was lovely, great views of Elounda bay, Spinalonga, Olous and the surrounding mountains and just a short walk down to Elounda village for tavernas, shops, boat trips etc. We were close enough to get where we wanted, without being in the middle of everything, The hotel rooms are small but adequate, clean, fresh, lovely balcony, fridge!!!, coffee and tea making, toiletries, plentiful towels and even a personal safe. We were also given beach towels for the hotel pool, where we chose to spend quite some time lounging in the sun, often with free taster drinks brought round by the bar staff. I already love Crete, but the Krini made for an exceptional week for myself and my daughter and far exceeded her expectations. We would highly recommend it as a package or self-book and would happily go back if we could.

Clean and friendly
‘The reception and cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. Our bed was very uncomfortable and they were very apologetic and assured us that it would be checked into, which I don’t question. We only stayed 1 night as were passing through. )

Great hotel where NOTHING was too much trouble. At first I thought the location was too far out of town and reviewed it as such. This view was unfair as I had only been at the hotel one day and was asked for first impressions. In actual fact the location is ideal, far enough away from the hub bub but a short stroll along the water edge to get to all the waterside restaurants..at most a 10min walk and my husband is a VERY slow and reluctant walker! Lovely family run taverna just beside the hotel, great family restaurant just a moment away on the road opposite and also a bakery that makes sandwiches to take away or eat in. Elounda itself is the best location in Crete. We had a wonderful week there. Thank you Krini.

Brilliant hotel in a superb location
The hotel is located just outside Elounda in a perfect location. We encountered extremely friendly and efficient staff who really wanted to make our stay an enjoyable one. It is very clean all round and obvious that they owners take a pride in keeping high standards. breakfast was varied and plentiful. Upper floor rooms had fantastic views across the bay and to the surrounding hills. The pool area is very relaxing with plenty of sunbeds and sun or shady positions. It was also interesting to note that many guests we spoke to all said that they would return. We certainly shall!.

Excellent hotel
The extra touches this hotel provides -- the welcome fruit & wine on arrival & a local gift as you leave -- make this a truly special small hotel. It's within walking distance of all the local facilities. A very special find.

Lovely stay
Lovely hotel, staff super friendly & helpful and hotel/pool very clean. Great location 5-10mins from main streets & 15mins to port. Elounda a great place very chilled, lots of great restaurants.
