Set just off the seafront opposite the waterways, lovely quiet location with parking on site. Nice room with a fantastic shower. Breakfast was nice, cooked fresh to order. Would definitely stay again

We enjoyed our stay here, very comfortable room, bathroom was a little small but functional very good shower. The owners were very friendly and pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a standard and well cooked breakfast my only suggestion would be to have tea, coffee and juice that people could help themselves to refills at breakfast. The location was quite and a short walking distance to the lively area of town to enjoy the amenities with very good seafront access. Thank you

We received a very warm welcome...comfortable room, good breakfast and there was a lift, which I found helpful at the moment. It is in a good location, with on-site parking. If we had to give a negative, the sink in the bathroom is a little small...everything else which matters was just as we would have wanted...thank you...

Excellent guest house
The Arona guest house is brilliant, Jill is so attentive to each guest needs, the hotel is so clean it made you feel safe during this current crisis. The location of the Arona is brilliant 100m from the beach. Breakfast was amazing cooked to order, looked forward to it each morning. Our room was perfect, cleaned daily with tea/coffee facilities topped up. Would recommend the Arona and will be returning.

Family friendly fun stay
We came for 2 nights to celebrate our daughters 6th birthday and she had a lovely time. Room was lovely and clean and venue in a great location. Owners were extremely friendly from the minute we arrived through to checkout.

Terrible avoid!
For £70 it was terrible Check in took 15 minutes before anyone came he was watching tv, never took my name to check booking never asked for a receipt nothing. Now the room no coffee or tea, the shower is broken hanging for the wall, the bed sheets and vanity unit had stains on them Heating never worked so we was freezing all night Overall never staying or recommending here i would of rather slept in my car or on a sofa

Regrettably unable to accept accommodation offered, inspected 2 bedrooms with unmade beds from the previous occupants. Close inspection of one unmade bed had stains. Walked away from these unacceptable conditions, returned home .

Hotel was next to beach but stay was a let down.
Firstly, websites said there was a restaurant but it was closed, do understand chef had walked out and left them with a problem. Sheets in room were stained, had to ask for towels, bathroom was dirty and in the 4 nights we were there were not cleaned at all. We had to ask for toilets rolls. Table cloths at breakfast were not clean, and the stand in cook came out to get orders with a very dirty shirt on....the whole experience we felt was run by novices who tried very hard to please but didn’t have a clue. I know they need to succeed but not at the expense of our £100 a night cost. Understand it’s a guesthouse not a hotel, but good clean standard at the norm wherever you stay. Will not be returning. Please pass this on to the owners.

If you don't trust the maid then check their work.
Filthy bed sheets from previous guest made up to look like a made up room. Head hairs, pubes and body oil all over the sheets and pillows. Disgusting beyond belief! No towel, because the removal of the previous towel was the only thing the cleaner decided would be done in my room. The sink still had toothpaste spit in it and the shower tray was filthy... I was given a new room as soon as I complained, but by then the damage was done and I never felt comfortable at all for the rest of the night / next morning.... No heat whatsoever in either room I was allocated. I was so cold in the morning that I had to leave at 6.30am so that I could go and warm up in my car. OUT OF ORDER...….!!!

OK, but there are better in Great Yarmouth
The hotel has clearly had a facelift recently, and from the outside looks OK. The room as well looked OK when I first entered it, new carpet looks to be fairly new fixtures and fittings. The down side was that the bedding had a funny, musty smell to it, and looked like it was pretty old. as there were bleach stains. Also, I found a couple of pubes in the bed, which was very off putting. The towels provided were the cheapest and thinnest towels known to man, also in the bathroom there was only half a toilet roll on the holder.......fortunately, it didn't matter! The place certainly looks like it's trying, but needs closer attention to detail, and probably needs to be a bit cleaner

Refurbished hotel with free on site parking
Friendly welcome. Very clean hotel, you can tell they've refurbished recently. The shower in the room was not very good - water pressure very weak. The mattresses were very very soft and so the sleep was uncomfortable. The taps in the bathroom were plumbed in the wrong way round so the hot was cold and vice versa. It would have been helpful to have an information pack in the room with details of breakfast times and bar opening hours and local amenities. Positive feedback - the room was very spacious considering it slept 6! The breakfast was very tasty and the service was excellent. I think the price of the room may be a bit more than other hotels but I would consider staying again in the future. It was a higher standard than other B&Bs we have stayed at in Great Yarmouth. Easy walking distance to the main attractions.

My stay at Aroma Guest was very comfortable and an unexpected surprise given the cost. The room was very contemporary and had all facilities that you would require. The hotel has it's own car park which is an added bonus given the location so near to the promenade. The staff are very friendly and courteous and the breakfast was also very nice.

Staff were very friendly and the room was very nice. There is a very good Indian restaurant on the beach front that the lady on the desk advised I try out and her advise turned out to be spot on. Will stay again when in the area on business.

Hotel refurbishment to a good standard. Our room didn't have a good view as it overlooked the back yard which needed a good tidy up. Also had a drone sound coming from the kitchen that went on all through the night. No shower mat, no shelves to put anything in bathroom. Bathroom had a fold door that was broken and didn't close. Bed had no mattress cover. Towels and bed linen had seen better days. With that said we were greeted with a warm welcome and breakfast was very good.

Was made to fill very welcome by the staff over all a nice place it is only let down by having brown sheets that had not been ironed so that makes it looks as if they had been slept in and a big pink Marks on the sheet and pillow case did not go down well with my wife at all

On arrival we were told the large room we had booked for our family was already occupied. So my husband had to spend the night in a separate room from the rest of us. We were so disappointed and were told that this was due to Expedia's mistake and not theirs. Perhaps the moral of the story is to book directly.

This hotel has recently had a refurb howver there does need to be a few changes on the cleaning side ie The hovering and dusting Apart from that the rooms are really comfy and okish the lady on reception was amazing and very welcoming and wen she couldnt fit us into a twin room they gave us a double each . keep up the good work and hope to be back again

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for one night. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We booked a double but were given a family room which was lovely, clean and big. The shower was very small but worked well. The room had a safe, kettle, tea coffee etc.... The only thing I didn't like was the bed but everyone has their own preference when it comes to "the prefect bed". Overall I would stay here again and the free parking was a added bonus.

Recently refurbished, this hotel now has a contemporary feeling and décor and very helpful and attentive staff. Clean and tidy throughout. The rates are very reasonable and the location of the hotel is quite good, a short 10 - 15 minute walk from Britannia Pier and the town centre, and almost opposite the beach. The quirky nearby Beach Café serves excellent refreshments too. My room was fairly small but well appointed. Some teething issues with the room and bedding were sorted immediately. Nice dining area and reasonable breakfast included, with plenty of tea and toast.

Lack of attention to details. The mattress was upside down and made my back hurt for the two days stay. Only to realise at the last day in the morning that the cleaners had put the mattress the wrong way up in bed hence the uncomfortable stay.
