"The room was clean, nice size tall fridge, heating plate, microwave and electric tea kettle. They even provided 2 hotel style robes for our stay. Tony, the owner was an excellent host and responded promptly to our messages. Love the convenient drive up to our lodging door and no steps for ease in unloading and loading car. The room tastefully decorated as well. We enjoyed the outdoor sitting area under a canopy with fire heater, comfortable chairs, Christmas music and Christmas tree. We did choose this place because the reviews were 9.6 and they earned it. Great location, just a mile or 2 to downtown Grass Valley. "

"This is such a wonderful hotel. We love staying here and enjoying the old world feel with the modern service. Debbie at the front desk was wonderful, and our room was warm and comfortable. Love the bar and restaurant, so beautiful! Fabulous service. I highly recommend staying here to truly enjoy the charm of Nevada City. "

"Best cheap motel option in the Grass Valley / Nevada City area. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Safe area. Clean, basic. Fridge worked, as did microwave and coffee brewer. Good heat. Hot water took 3 minutes to warm up but when it did it was plenty toasty. Bed, sheets and pillow got the job done. Gal at front desk was friendly and helpful. All the motel I needed."
