Detached Whole House with stunning views over Morecambe Bay (2 double bedrooms)

We refurbished this two double-bedroomed Lake District property in monochrome with musicians, artists, poets, cyclists and walkers in mind.

It is ideal for you and your friends as it has two ample double bedrooms and two sofa beds.

We have an electric grand piano, guitar, cello, ukelele and easel with a selection of charcoals. Bring your own sketchpads, and enjoy!

The bungalow is surrounded by a garden which you can sit in to enjoy the surroundings, and there are two free parking spaces in front of the property.
The balcony is fabulous to watch or paint the ever changing scenery over the Bay, the night sky and the weather- you can see as far away as Blackpool tower on a clear night!

We are adding another loo (Sept 23) and an overground swimming pool in 2024.
It is a short walk to the small supermarkets, boutiques and restaurants in Grange Over Sands, which has a connecting railway station.

There are so many different walks in the Lake District that you will need to fill up on food. Cartmel village provides Michelin Starred restaurants, the famous Cartmel Races and the best ice-cream shop. They even serve doggie ice-cream.
Lake Windermere is a ten minute drive away, and Beatrix Potters house and Wordsworth's cottage are a must visit.

We look forward to sending you even more info in our welcome pack, to help you get a feel for the area and activities etc.

Beautiful views
The views and location amazing, very quiet and relaxing. The property itself is looking a little tired, the garden overgrown, but the balcony made up for it, sadly no sunsets the 3 evenings but morning warm sunshine was lovely overlooking the bay. We enjoyed our break away.

Lovely place in great position with fantastic views. Well equipped kitchen. The bath towels were not really big enough and an information pack would have been useful. On the whole a good place to stay to get to surrounding areas.

Great find
This property was a great find. Lovely bungalow with amazing views. Two great sized bedrooms and additional sofa beds. Lovely balcony where we enjoyed having breakfast and even dinner on one evening overlooking the sea. The property is in a great location and short (10min) walk to the shopping areas, eateries, promenade and the ornamental gardens are all easily accessible. Holker Hall is also just a 10min drive. Anita the host was very helpful with any of our queries and we had a welcome box of chocolates. Would recommend this place for anyone wanting to explore Grange over Sands.

Lovely property but a couple of issues
Property has a great view over Grange but obviously means it’s on a hill which wasn’t an issue for us but may not suit people with mobility issues, is easy to get around from Grange, we took the HavertwIte railway and ferry to Bowness, the house is a great size with a large lounge, 2 good size bedrooms and a large dining kitchen, our main gripe was the cleanliness of the kitchen, we had to wash glasses, plates and cups before we could use them as they were not clean, also the owner left no information on the area and how to get around, whilst there were leaflets on attractions a lot of these were for last year, the property could be fabulous with a little more attention to detail

Week end break
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful bungalow. The view of Morecambe Bay was outstanding from the lounge and bedroom where we had morning coffee to watch the sunrise and gin & tonic to watch the sunset very relaxing. All the rooms were a good size loads of storage. The kitchen has everything you need including 2 hobs & a very large fridge freezer. Quiet locaction but only a short walk to the centre of Grange.

Lovely house, very well equipped. Clean and tidy. Lovely views of bay, but obviously to get views like that you are on a hill so be warned if you have health or mobility issues if walking anywhere.

Fantastic Views Even On A Dismal Day
We arrived on a dreich, dismal day but the views from both the front room and the master bedroom were every bit as stunning as we'd been led to believe, the sky changes colour all the time and I can only imagine how beautiful it would be in warmer months The house had everything we could have asked for with a very well equipped kitchen which we made use of for meals and I even discovered cake forks which I put to good use !! I was especially pleased to see a great selection of glasses including proper gin balloons, coupes, a cocktail shaker and best of all, a wine cooler with a lovely inscription on it ( I'd actually taken my own one as I hate to have to get up and down to the fridge, 1st time I've not needed it ) I just wish I could have been sitting out on the balcony drinking wine and watching the sky change colour but sadly the weather was too cold or too wet whilst we were there My husband specially loved the stove and it created so much heat that I ended up having to open a window. We bought a bag of logs at a petrol station and these did us 2 nights We did a lot of sightseeing and loved Cartmel, minutes up the road which was so lovely walking around even in the rain We also visited the Lakeland Motor Museum which is a must for anyone interested in the evolution of vehicles and there's the added bonus of The Bluebird Exhibition about the Campbells and their land and water world records.

This place is fantastic
Amazing views, lovely walks, nice wood burner, fantastic view from both the bedroom terrace and living room. This was our second visit and we will be back. The owner really took care of us and in the recent snowfall offered to allow us to stay free of charge for a couple of days if the roads were block but fortunately we managed to get home. Highly recommend this property and the great owners, thanks again Anita

Stunning views
There are not enough words to describe this amazing place. Everything we could have wished for, for our well being weekend before the silly season. Stunning views, great location and everything we needed to make it home from home. I could not recommend this accommodation enough and we will definitely be visiting again soon but for a longer stay. We have all fallen in love with the Lake District including Freddie our Cocker Spaniel!! Thank you Anita
