"I booked this hotel not knowing I had to take a ferry onto the island it sits. This was very easy cheesy to do at 9:30 at night. We drove to our hotel upon arriving the owner, contacted me by phone to make sure everything was all good. Excellent service the place was beautiful."

This is my second stay at the Starfish and it is heaven on earth. Nothing compares to the wildlife encounters I’ve had at the scenic overlook. It’s clear how much Dennis cares about the island and I will continue to stay at his amazing cottages as long as he continues to offer them for others to enjoy. "

"If you want peace and quiet, along with an over the top spectacular view, this is the perfect place! So enjoyable to sit back and watch the tide move in and out, observe eagles and gulls and keep an eye out for porpoises, whales, and otters. The cottage is comfortable, and full of interesting collectables, art and books about the region. Dennis was a fantastic host - very helpful and responsive to any question or need. It was such an enjoyable stay - I can't wait to get back!"

"Centrally located on Campobello, quiet but friendly, hosts were lovely. If your idea of glamping is a 5-star hotel just in a tent, this probably isn’t for you. But if you’re looking for somewhere a little more comfortable and convenient than camping, don’t want to worry about whether it will rain, know what you’re getting into with a composting toilet, and a rustic outdoor shower is your idea of luxury, you’ll have a wonderful stay."

"The cottage was a comfortable space with spectacular views. We saw eagles, osprey, minke whales, seals (both harbour and grey types) as well as dozens of songbirds, etc right from the back deck and property. We even got to see a cruise ship pass by the house as it left port in Maine. The owner is beyond responsive. There was an issue with the back door lock and within hours it was fixed! Dennis is friendly and understands customer service. While some of the appliances are a bit outdated and at the end of their lives, we managed just fine. Overall a great experience and we look forward to returning or maybe trying another of this owner’s properties! "
